In response to the reported fire occurrence in Pulong Kendi, Barangay Sta. Ana, Taguig City, and other UMAK students have been affected by this terrible incident. The University Student Council - Office of the Vice President (OVP) will launch "๐ฑ ๐ฃ๐ถ๐๐ผ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ ๐ธ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ป" to support pupils affected by the fire catastrophe.
In these difficult times, we encourage everyone to provide a helping hand by providing in-kind donations and monetary contributions of any amount. Every act of compassion counts, and no donation is too small to assist our fellow Herons recover and rebuild.
The OVP will also provide regular updates regarding the progress of the donation drive, collected donations, and distribution efforts to ensure transparency and keep the community informed throughout this initiative.

In light of the recent fire incident in Pulong Kaendi, Brgy. Sta. Ana, Taguig City, we encourage all of affected Psychmates residing in Brgy. Sta. Ana to take a few moments to answer the wellness check form we created. Your well-being matters, especially during difficult and unsettling times such as the recent accident. This initiative aims to ensure that everyone is safe, supported, and given the care and attention they may need physically, emotionally and mentally.

Your mental health may have felt overwhelming at times, but it does not define your entire story. And even on days when it feels heavy, your presence here still matters more than you think. There are quiet victories youโve achieved that deserve to be recognized.
Mental health challenges are not always visible. Many people carry silent battles behind smiles, achievements, and everyday routines. As we reach the end of this semester, we are reminded of how far we've become, and how far we can still go. This week, from ๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐ญ๐ฌ-๐ญ๐ฒ, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ, we are observing the ๐ก๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ช๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ธ, where we are reminded that caring for one another and helping in prevention of substance abuse and promote mental health wellness can make a meaningful difference. How can we contribute? Involving communities in raising awareness of substance misuse and mental health issues, implementing prevention strategies, and showcase the effectiveness of evidence-based prevention programs. Fostering partnerships and collaborations with federal agencies and national organizations dedicated to improving public health. Promoting and disseminating quality substance use prevention and mental health promotion resources and publications.
We must take note that prevention starts with empathyโthrough listening, understanding, and creating safe spaces where everyone feels supported and valued. Small acts of kindness and awareness can help people build stronger, and healthier communities. As we continue to raise awareness for each persons' mental health, well-being, alongside substance use prevention, may this week encourage us to choose compassion over judgment and support in ways we can.
