TRIVIA: The delicate Sweet Pea (Botanical Name: Lathyrus sp.) was very popular with many royal families. It was in fact the firm favourite of the former Queen Juliana of the Netherlands. She collected the most unusual varieties, and crossbred them to produce even lovelier specimens. This is partly because of the cheerful, fragile appearance, and endless range of colours. And since the fragrance is very special, it is also popular with perfume houses. :-)
