With the recent eligibility requirement for the SRRV program, former Filipinos now have a better chance to come home sooner and reconnect with the country they still call home. Many kababayans who have become naturalized citizens abroad—especially in countries that do not recognize dual citizenship—now have an easier path to reconnect with the Philippines and enjoy long-term stays without the need for constant visa renewals. The SRRV offers a practical, flexible, and dignified solution for Filipinos who wish to return home more often, invest, retire, or simply stay close to their roots while maintaining their life abroad.
Be sure to check the updated visa deposit guidelines for the SRRV Courtesy Program for Former Filipinos, as shown below. These updates provide former Filipinos with more flexible retirement options and a smoother path back to the Philippines.
