𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒: 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝟐 | 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 ✨

Part 2 of the CEU Makati Recognition Rites opened with an inspiring message from 𝐃𝐫. 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐏. 𝐋𝐢𝐦, Vice President and Dean of Studies of CEU Makati, who reminded students of the importance of perseverance, purpose, and service in every step of their academic journey.

This was followed by the awarding of certificates to students with exemplary performances in co- and extracurricular activities for S.Y. 2025–2026, recognizing outstanding individuals from the 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲, 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐏𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬.

From leadership to excellence beyond the classroom, the recognition served as a celebration of dedication, passion, and commitment among CEU Makati students—proving that success is built not only in academics, but also in service and involvement.

Continued with a heartfelt intermission number by Rollie Anne Salvador, who performed Patuloy ang Pangarap by Angeline Quinto—an inspiring reminder of perseverance and hope behind every success.

Certificates of Recognition were also awarded for exemplary service and outstanding performances to members of 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬, 𝐧𝐨𝐧-𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥, 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐂𝐂, recognizing the individuals who continuously support and strengthen the CEU Makati community behind the scenes.

In her heartfelt signing-off message, 𝐔𝐒𝐂 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐢 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐊𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐨 𝐉𝐚𝐳𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐁. 𝐓𝐮𝐚𝐳𝐨𝐧 expressed her gratitude to her constituents, advisers, and every officer who became part of her leadership journey, marking an emotional close to her term in service.

𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐋. 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐲 also recognized the virtues and achievements of students—from officers, outstanding students, athletes, and members of the student press—highlighting their dedication in bringing pride and excellence to the institution.

The ceremony served as a reminder that true recognition is found not only in achievements, but also in service, humility, and the people who make every success possible.

Among those recognized were the University Student Council officers; the Pharmacy, Medical Technology, and Dentistry Departments 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀; the Junior Philippine Pharmacists Association Beta Chapter Makati and Community Outreach Movement Pro-Active Students Service 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀; Khleo Jazmine Tuazon, Daniel Roi Deynata, Leandra Ruth Peña, Wendell Militatante and Sidney Andre Colcol 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝟱 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀; and Khleo Jazmine Tuazon 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁.

Following the awarding is the Intermission Number of the CEU Folk Dance Troupe.

Furthermore, 𝐊𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐨 𝐉𝐚𝐳𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐓𝐮𝐚𝐳𝐨𝐧, President of the USC, delivered her Words of Thanks, reflecting on her journey as a student leader and encouraging fellow awardees to uphold servant leadership and go beyond their responsibilities. In her closing remarks, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐚. 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐋. 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐲 reflected on her 21 years of nurturing student leaders, emphasizing that true education goes beyond academic excellence and must also cultivate wisdom, compassion, and virtue. With the theme “𝘊𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘌𝘹𝘤𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦: 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘚𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘔𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘴 𝘝𝘪𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘦,” excellence takes center stage as CEU Makati officially opens its University Recognition Day 2026 today, May 14.

Master of Ceremonies Atty. Eduard M. Riparip set the tone for the event, reminding the Escolarian community of the institution's core values, stating, "Science is not enough, but virtue fills the gap between science and virtue."

In her opening remarks, Vice President and Dean of Studies Dr. Pearly P. Lim emphasized the true meaning behind the medals and certificates. "It's a celebration of countless hours of studies, your sacrifices, and your resilience to challenges."

"Excellence is not only measured in awards and honors," she shared. She also acknowledged the crucial role of mentors, faculty, and non-teaching personnel in the students' achievements and success.

Following this, Vice President for Student Affairs Dr. Carlito B. Olaer delivered an inspirational message, praising the passion of the student body.

"Looking at you, I see not just performers, leaders, athletes, or even volunteers. I see dreamers who dared to make things happen," he said.

Invited to this year’s recognition rites are the athletes and representatives of CEU Sportsfest 2026, alongside university-wide and department-wide student officers, as the institution honors their dedication, leadership, and the achievements that continue to bring pride to the CEU Makati community.
