We understand that many have been feeling a lot of mental anxiety due to current events. Us, too. 😔 In fact, it took us a long time to decide to shutter our doors and close our space for the entire quarantine period. We feel strongly that MAARTSY is non-essential work that's very essential in these stressful times. Creative outlets are needed during times of uncertainty--and this is when people need arts & crafts the most. 🎨

But honestly, staying open is just irresponsible and will put everyone (our team included) in harm's way. So, we're making your safety and peace of mind as our main priority. That said, if you require a refund, just send us your bank details and we'll settle it within 5 banking days (or longer--depending on the schedule of our skeletal crew at the space). We are optimistic though that this situation will resolve itself within the next months. When that happens, we can reschedule you to another date or transfer you to another workshop (if applicable). And don't worry, MAARTSY will still be around! We'll make sure of it. ☺️

In the meantime, we're working round the clock to bring some of our workshops online so you can enjoy them from the comfort of your home. We should have a couple of watercolor tutorials available on our YouTube early next week! 😍 It's been in the works for some months now, but now's a good time to release it as any. The videos are FREE, so you can follow along if you have materials. But you can also buy our Watercolor Starter Kit that includes the same exact palette and brush pens the teacher is using so you don't feel lost. If you're new to watercolor, then we suggest taking this option. We'll make the official announcement when the videos are uploaded on our YouTube channel and the starter kits are available. 🌈

Stay safe and sane, everyone! Paint a painting. Write a poem. Sing a song. Care for yourself and other people. We're sure we'll see you at our MAARTSY Makati studio soon. Things WILL get better. In the meantime, let's each do what we can to be a beacon of light for our entire community. ❤️

He is also one of the founders and currently the CEO and Adviser of GUHIT Pinas, Inc., the country’s largest non-profit organization of Filipino artists. A self-taught artist, Rodman specializes in graphite drawing, particularly in dark-grade, photorealistic portraits. He helped popularize the use of pure 8B graphite pencil as well as full background inclusion in portraiture in the Philippines.
