Galaw-galaw. Inom tubig. Kain! 😊

One advantage of working from home is increased productivity (They say. Haha!) Like a lot of managers worry that their employees won’t work but in reality what could be worry-some is that if their employees get too focused in their work and forget taking breaks or forget β€œstopping” to work, it can lead to burnout AND since the managers don’t see them face to face, they won’t notice the non-verbal signs of burnout πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ˜”πŸ™πŸΌ

So...

πŸ’› If you handle a team, please don’t forget to check in with your members. Really make time to know how they are! Not ask lang for the sake of asking

πŸ’› If you’re an individual contributor, wag masyado subsob sa work! Hehe

Let’s be grateful we get to work from home but not forget to take care of ourselves and consider the needs of others too. We’ll get through this πŸ’―

🚨 It's March 17, 2020, 00:00 MNL time and the Enhanced Community Quarantine all over Luzon has just begun 🚨

So here's a challenge... pwedeng individually or as a company! (Pero start with ourselves diba? Hehe)

πŸ€” How might we make the most out of our situation during the covid-19 pandemic?

Alam namin mahirap. Ramdam din namin. Kahit na the sad reality is, mas marami pang iba na grabeng apektado than us na nagagawa pang mag-Facebook, scroll-scroll lang, or mag-Netflix daw sa couch. For us...

πŸ‘‰πŸΌ It's not just β€œstay at home” but more of "stuck at home", para na rin sa safety ng mas nakararami

πŸ‘‰πŸΌ We're flooded with negative news... isama mo pa fake news

πŸ‘‰πŸΌ Aside from our moves being limited, supplies are limited too! Remember, this quarantine is subject for review on a day to day basis. Pwede ma-stop, pwede rin ma-extend

πŸ‘‰πŸΌ There is so much freedom (that most of us are not used to having). Relate? wfh ftw!

πŸ‘‰πŸΌ Nasasabayan pa ng ibang bagay yung covid-19. May bird flu pa, may mga sunog pa, may power interruptions pa!

We cannot control what the world throws us but we can control what we produce out of whatever the situation we are in.

So... Garbage in, gold out! Kaya? πŸ’›

Stay safe, everyone! And stay creative πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸΌ

Yes, mahirap. Pero kaya yan. Kaya 😊

If you're just starting...
If you're a career shifter...
If you've just gotten out of your comfort zone...
If you're exploring something you haven't done before...

If you're resting...
If you're tired and are recovering...
If you're thinking of quitting...
If you're actually doing good right now...

Or even if you're none of the above...

It's okay! Keep going πŸ’›

You're doing a good job even if all you did today was to breathe and choose to stay πŸ™πŸΌ

Let's build small habits rather than try to do "big changes". Let's not be hard on ourselves and most especially not compare ourselves with others.

Each of us is on our own unique journey yet we are never alone πŸ’ž

🎢 Bakit ba ang hirap-hirap
Magsabi nang diretsahan?
'Di pagkakaunawaan
Pwede sanang pag-usapan

Tahan, pwede pa bang malaman?
Laman ng iyong isipan
Para walang maling akala 🎢

- Masyado Pang Maaga, Ben&Ben

Intindihin muna natin ano yung problema, bago tayo mag-jump to solution, yes? πŸ˜…

🀯 Ganun din sa design, sa code, or actually sa kahit anong work, applicable din!

Even though it seems like common sense, a lot of people still jump to creating solutions without UNDERSTANDING the problem first. Bakit kaya? Posibleng dahil:

πŸ’― Wala na raw kasi time

πŸ’― Excited i-try yung new technology

πŸ’― May "expert" na sa team, alam na nya agad ih

πŸ’― Di lang talaga aware na understanding ang first step

And more reasons.

πŸ‘‰πŸΌ If isa ka sa mga nakakaintindi na, that's so good!

πŸ˜‡ Don't hate. Educate.

Since naiintindihan na natin yung importance ng pag-intindi muna sa problem, let's do our best to make other people see the value of doing such thing. It takes... patience, a lot of PATIENCE. We know! It's not easy. But we can do it. At the end of the day, kindness wins πŸ’›

πŸ‘‰πŸΌ If isa ka naman sa di pa nakakaintindi nun, it's okay also. Every moment is an opportunity to learn.

πŸ’• We just have to be open to new things and slowly embrace the fact that it is only by truly CARING for our customers that we are able to provide them real value.

And that the first step to caring is LISTENING.

πŸ‘‚πŸ½ Let's listen first. Ano ba yung problema? Before we create or offer a solution.

"I choose understanding over speed, every single time" - Chris Do: Business Designer

Sharing with you today the best advice that Chris Do's coach has given him: "Don't guess, ask."

Why share? Because we can totally relate to the advice given and we do this too! It helped us. It helps us. And we can assure you that it will help you too πŸ’›

How many times have we tried guessing?

😬 Siguro ganito...

😬 Baka ganyan...

😬 Diba sa previous project... so ngayon...

😬 Ito need nila siguro...

😬 Feeling ko ito yung makakatulong sa kanila...

Stop.

βœ‹πŸΌ It's okay to ask. Actually, it's best to ask!

But of course...

🚨 What clients *say* they need or want are NOT always what they need!!!

It is still our job to UNCOVER what their underlying needs are and recommend solutions that would ultimately solve their problem πŸ’―

πŸ‘‚πŸ½ Overall, listening will save us a lot of time... and money!
