What an amazing way to end the year!

They know they have their stories—a lot of stories. What they didn’t know is they can pick a few and make it into an inspirational masterpiece.

Contrary to what many people believe, a speech doesn’t happen when we talk. It happens when we communicate. We all have stories and insights. But to present those in a way that people will enjoy and truly learn from is another matter.

This is where we came in. From inner insight to audience delight, we took our students into a roller coaster ride. From one-on-one sessions over coffee to meeting online to coaching face-to-face, we ventured into self-discovery and awareness. Over the course of their study, they learned that only knowing your story doesn’t make the cut. They have to think about the flow, master it, and deliver it to the heart of their invited guests.

I’m extremely proud to have taken you aboard. For the many hours we’ve sat and talked, I didn’t only learn about you and your incredible stories first-hand, upclose. I learned more about myself, too.

As we confer this designation to you, we trust that you’ll go out there and speak the difference. Let’s change the world one speech a time through the power of spoken word.

Congratulations dear graduates! To have witnessed your transformation is a privilege and an honor for me. I will remember this for the rest of my life.

Ladies and gentlemen, the very first batch of PSF® Public Speaking Fellow!

I'm not in the game where most people play and try to win. I create my own game and allow people to play and win with me.

For more than 17 years, I have been on the stage and lately on the screen doing what I love while people pay me six-digit fee. But it didn't happen just like that. I did something very specific that separated me from the competition.

There is an huge opportunity in finding your niche—by not becoming anyone to everyone. Instead, you've got to be someone to everyone.

That's the power of coming up with your own core message, own purposeful stories, and own unique way of presenting your proposition.

As a professional speaker myself, having a content and a story to tell, much less the skill to present them, don't make the cut. Everybody else does that.

When I discovered that the key is to separate myself from the pack, I left behind everything that didn't matter. I built a foundation for the "specific me."

That's what I'd like to teach leaders, executives, and professionals out there. It's easy to wear many hats than to pick one because we thought having many hats is cool.

It's not. You're not amounting to anything when you try to be everything!
