Every presentation showed the 𝑻𝑰𝑴𝑬, 𝑬𝑭𝑭𝑶𝑹𝑻, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑫𝑬𝑫𝑰𝑪𝑨𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵 each group invested throughout the semester. From forming ideas to defending them in front of the panelists, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐌𝐚. 𝐒𝐄𝐏𝐓. 𝟐𝟏 | 53 Years of Declaration of Martial Law.

On this day September 21 in 1972, Martial Law was declared under the Leadership of Ferdinand Marcos Sr. For over five decades, this date has served as a painful reminder of fear, violence, and corruption that gripped our nation. Thousands of Filipinos were silenced, tortured, and murdered. Billions of pesos were stolen from the people’s hard earned resources. Martial Law isn’t just a chapter in history—it’s a haunting echo that warns us of the dangers of unchecked power.

Even today, the shadows of that dark period linger. Abuse of authority persists, corruption continues to drain our nation’s resources, and the rights and freedoms fought for by countless Filipinos are once again under threat. We cannot afford to remain silent or turn a blind eye. We must remember history so that it does not repeat itself.

This day is not only about remembrance but also about resistance. We honor the lives lost and the sacrifices made. Their voices remind us that vigilance and justice are ongoing battles. To remember is to stand against oppression
