𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐀arawan: The General Academic Strand (GAS) showed nerves of steel, as they outlasted the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) in a 49–44 thriller game to claim the championship title in basketball during the 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐱𝐢𝐦𝐨 2026.

The high-stakes finale, held at Olympia Community Complex on March 28, saw GAS secure the gold medal after a relentless defensive battle.

The road to the podium was marked by intense competition: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) overpowered Alternative Learning System (ALS ) (50–30), while Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) edged out Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) (58–49) to book their finals slot.

GAS solidified their contender status by routing STEM (56–37) in the semifinals.

Despite a bounce-back win by ABM against ALS (59–35), the spotlight remained on the championship clash, where GAS’s tenacity and teamwork ultimately reigned supreme over the court.

𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐀arawan: Nagpakitang-gilas ang mga manlalaro ng General Academic Strand (GAS) sa larangan ng Volleyball matapos nilang masungkit ang gintong medalya sa Palarong Maximo 2026, sa iskor na 4–0, na ginanap sa Olympia Community Complex noong Marso 28.

Sumunod ang Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) sa iskor na 3-1 matapos mabigo laban sa pambihirang lakas ng GAS.

Nakuha naman ng Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) ang huling pwesto sa iskor na 2-2 nang ungusan sila ng ABM at GAS.

𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐀arawan: Mark Stephen P. Diamante emerged victorious in the Chess Category during 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝘅𝗶𝗺𝗼 2026, held on March 31 at Maximo Estrella Senior High School.

Edriel Enriquez secured second place, followed by John Mark Lumibao in third place.

Francis Garcia placed fourth, while John Elizeo R. Mendoza finished fifth in the competition.

𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐀arawan: Bagong pahina, bagong kabanata, bagong kuwento.

Bakas sa mga mukha ng 230 mag-aaral mula sa Maximo Estrella Senior High School (MESHS) ang halo-halong emosyon matapos nilang matagumpay na maisara ang isang yugto ng kanilang buhay sa pagtatapos ng taong panuruan 2025–2026.

“Bago pa man ang graduation, ramdam na ng bawat isa ang bilis ng panahon. Nakakatakot ang kolehiyo at trabaho para sa amin kaya halo-halong emosyon ang makikita,” ani Nathalie E. Manasan, na nagkamit ng pinakamataas na karangalan.

Dagdag pa niya, “Sa araw ng graduation, mas naging matindi ang mga emosyon—mas kabado, mas excited, at mas takot; ang iba ay naiiyak pa. Pero nagawa naming tapusin ang senior high na kahit papaano ay may saya sa puso.”

Ang nasabing pagtatapos ay ginanap sa Makati Coliseum nitong Lunes, ika-30 ng Marso, na dinaluhan ni Mayora Nancy Binay kasama ang mga kinatawan ng Department of Education (DepEd).

Samantala, sa isang panayam, ibinahagi rin ni Mark Stephen P. Diamante, na nagkamit ng pinakamataas na karangalan, ang kanyang saloobin hinggil sa mga natutunan at pagsubok na kanyang pinagdaanan.

“Isang malaking pagsisisi na hindi ko napasalamatan ang aking pamilya nang todo... ngunit, sa kabila ng lahat, nagagalak ako sapagkat napatunayan kong libre ang mangarap.”

Sa kabila ng pangamba at mga pagsubok, bitbit ng mga nagsipagtapos ang pag-asa sa panibagong yugto ng kanilang buhay.

𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐀arawan: Clemario Labbao, a school guard at Maximo Estrella Senior High School (MESHS), received his diploma through the Alternative Learning System (ALS) as one of the 230 graduates during the 9th Commencement Exercises held on March 30 at the Makati Coliseum.

In an interview, Labbao shared that he was previously a regular Grade 11 student under the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) strand.

However, due to schedule conflicts, he found it difficult to balance his work and academic responsibilities.

“Gumawa ako ng option, nagtanong ako sa teacher ko, kay Sir Uniana kung ano ang magandang paraan para matuloy ko ang pag aaral ko. Sabi nya meron naman tayong Alternative Learning System (ALS).”

After enrolling in ALS, Labbao remained determined to continue his education despite the challenges of juggling work and studies.

He admitted that it was not easy at first, but through determination and perseverance, he was able to manage both responsibilities.

Labbao expressed his gratitude for the ALS program, which gave him the opportunity to continue his education and pursue his dream of taking up Civil Engineering in college.

“Iba pa rin ang may pinanghahawakan… na lisensyado ka,” he added, emphasizing his aspiration to become a licensed professional in the future.
