[CALL FOR INTERIM APPLICANTS]

Good day, Ateneo Law!

We would like to inform you that the interim application for Student Council 2024-2025 will start on May 20, 2024.

This includes applications for the following positions:

Interim Internal Vice President
Interim External Vice President
Interim 4th year Batch Representative
Interim 3rd year Batch Representative

The requirements for all interim positions are Curriculum Vitae General Plan of Action, and Letter of Intent.

The period for application for all positions is until June 16, 2024. Applicants will be interviewed starting June 17-June 21, 2024.

Take note: Interim Officers are TEMPORARY until the Commission on Elections and Judicial Appointments (CEJA) conducts Special Elections and proclaims new elected officers.

The Block D-led Air Nomads dominated the race, bending their way to a 345-point lead against Block C’s Earth Kingdom, which placed second overall, and Block A’s Fire Nation, overall third placers.

Congrats and thanks again to everyone across all blocks and batches who played and cheered for their houses in this year’s House Cup! We look forward to seeing you again next year! 🔥🌊🪨🌪⚔️

[MDA 2024 HIGHLIGHTS]

Last April 27, 2024, over 100 onsite and online attendees joined us for this schoolyear's last Miting de Avance. As we draw closer to the end of the campaign period, read up on your presidential candidates' positions to know what you missed!

Dave Gonzales:
Personally, I did not think hindi dapat sila nag-inhibit. For me, if ako yung nasa position nila, I would have stood my ground and said na, ito ang paniniwala ko at that time, ito dapat ang nangyari, kase yun ang mandate nila. But that's just me. I can't speak for them. [...] Sa lahat ng conflicts sa student council, lahat naman siya nadadaan sa usapan, lahat may process and botohan. Nakapahalaga ang part ng deliberations sa lahat ng ginagawa namin, and for me, kahit mag-inhibit sila or hindi, once nasabi na nila ang thoughts and views on the matter, it would greatly resolve the outcome.

Miguel Hamoy: For our office in particular, the office of the External Vice President, we released an accountability report right after the sem started. We detailed all the projects that we did, we detailed all the partnerships we secured, we detailed our thrust. We are what we do. We wanted to release all that we do, because at the end of the day, I am an elected officer. A public office is a public trust. To address your question on substantiation, mea culpa, there were also some things we needed to address. I made sure to talk to the people in charge because one of the things that was not addressed there was an event that was worked on by an org. We subsidized it. But of course, I'll take accountability because the money comes from my office. As soon as it came out, I saw that there were blanks. We're working closely with them to rectify it already. In fact, the one in charge of that org has already told me that documentation for this already does exists. It's just a matter of recording it correctly.

[RFID Access Control using the University ID]

Please see the memo from the University regarding the RFID Access Control using the University ID.

The University RFID System, we will be implementing an Interim Access Control measure using portable (handheld) RFID readers at the complex entry points.

For the soft launch starting 18 March 2024, students will be asked to tap their ID before entering their respective school units.

Please refer to the memo on the proper usage of the ID scanner.
