The Far Eastern University Institute of Law opened its doors in 1934, making it one of the oldest colleges of law in the country.

It prides itself as a pedigreed law school from whose ranks two other law schools located in the university belt were formed.

FEULAB, under the guidance of Atty. Rowena Soriano, recently held a meeting with Justice Karl B. Miranda of the Sandiganbayan, along with Atty. Louielyn dela Cruz, Atty. Lorenzo Miranda, and Atty. Karl Doceo, to discuss the scope of legal aid for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

The meeting discussed student involvement in legal aid, partnerships, creative initiatives, and practical learning opportunities.

Through partnerships like this, FEULAB continues to engage students in meaningful legal and community work.

Call for Nominations for the 2026 Search for HerStory Awardees

The and the Philippine Women Judges Association announce the opening of nominations for the 2026 Search for the HerStory Gender Award of Distinction Awardees. The award celebrates inspirational stories of female judges who have triumphed over professional and personal challenges.

The search is open to incumbent women magistrates of the Philippine Judiciary.

The nomination form, requirements, and other details may be accessed through the QR codes.

Submission period is from September 1 to November 30, 2025.

The FEU Institute of Law proudly brought home multiple honors from the recent Florentino Cayco Sr. National Law Debate Cup, with the FEU IL Debaters making a strong mark in a competitive field of 20 teams.
The team composed of James Andrew Bautista, Reyman Onoske Mejico, and Christian Carl Cando advanced to the quarterfinals.
Among the standout achievements, Reyman Onoske Mejico was named Overall Best Novice Speaker and ranked 4th Overall Best Speaker, while James Andrew Bautista secured the 6th Overall Best Speaker spot.

Supporting the delegation were Juan Jesus Dela Cruz as a competing adjudicator, and Arjan Oliva and Alejandro De Leon as new debate observers. Special mention goes to Mary Ruzzel Morales, who provided strong guidance and encouragement as the team’s student coach.
