Dimatingkal-Kamid Elementary School Participates in the 2nd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED)
On June 19, 2025, at exactly 9:00 in the morning, Dimatingkal-Kamid Elementary School proudly joined the nation in observing the Second Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED). This quarterly initiative, spearheaded by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), aims to strengthen the culture of disaster preparedness and resilience among Filipinos.
đź”” "Duck, Cover, and Hold!" in Practice
The sound of the alarm signaled the start of the drill. Learners, teachers, and staff immediately performed the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” technique, followed by an organized evacuation to designated open spaces.
With guidance from school DRRM coordinators and the school community conducted a smooth and orderly simulation of emergency response protocols. The drill emphasized awareness, alertness, and readiness in the event of a real earthquake.
