Lead with Character, Serve with Heart
Edenton Mission College, Inc. (EMCI), through the College Supreme Student Council (CSSC), strengthened the leadership skills of student leaders through a Leadership Training held at Iriz Garden Resort on September 18, 2026, with the five major officers from each organization in EMCI participating in the program. Centered on the theme, “Building Leaders: Lead with Character, Serve with Commitment,” the training aimed to equip student leaders with essential skills for effective and responsible leadership.
During the first session, Hon. Kenneth Lance A. Rocapor discussed the fundamentals of leadership, encouraging participants to take the first step toward growth. He reminded them, “Hindi mo kailangan maging magaling para mag simula, kailangan mo lang mag simula para gumaling.”
For the second session, Ms. Xaña Angel Eve M. Apolinar focused on written communication, emphasizing the importance of a leader’s ability to write effectively. She also advised participants not to rely too heavily on artificial intelligence when producing written work.
Wrapping up the speaker series, Ms. Honey Gylle K. Diaz discussed accounting and accountability, highlighting their role in responsible organizational management. The session equipped student leaders with practical knowledge in financial stewardship, project management, and sustainability.
The event was organized through the efforts of the CSSC, headed by Ma’am Jovelyn Datang, LPT, preparing student leaders to serve their school community with integrity, responsibility, and commitment.
