MAITUM, Sarangani Province โ€” The Notre Dame community gathered for the Mass of the Holy Spirit on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at the Sto. Niรฑo Parish Church in Maitum, Sarangani Province.

The celebration was attended by the Dameans, faculty, and staff, who came together in prayer and reflection as they sought guidance and strength from the Holy Spirit for the new school year.

Following the Mass, an oath-taking ceremony was held for the newly elected Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) officers. The ceremony also included the oath-taking of the School Parents-Teachers Association (SPTA) officers, as well as the faculty and staff.

The ceremony formally recognized the responsibilities of the newly appointed and elected leaders as they pledged to fulfill their duties and serve the Notre Dame community with commitment and integrity.

The Mass and oath-taking ceremony marked an important beginning for the school community, emphasizing faith, leadership, service, and unity among the Dameans, faculty, staff, parents, and student leaders.

Today, we honor the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, celebrating the belief that Mary was taken body and soul into heavenly glory at the end of her earthly life.

More than a celebration of Mary's place in Heaven, the Assumption reminds us of her unwavering faith, humility, and complete trust in God's plan. Her life continues to inspire us to remain faithful, hopeful, and willing to say yes to God's call.

As we celebrate this solemn feast, may we look to Mary as an example of courage, obedience, and steadfast faith, and may her intercession guide us closer to Christ.

Ang Buwan ng Wika ay paalala na ang ating wika ay nananatiling puso ng ating pagkakakilanlan, kultura, at kasaysayan. Sa pagdiriwang ngayong taon, tampok ang temang โ€œWikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon.โ€ Isinasaad nito na maaaring magsilbing katuwang ang Artificial Intelligence sa pagpapalawak ng kaalaman at pananaliksik habang patuloy na pinahahalagahan ang Wikang Filipino.

Kasabay ng pag unlad ng teknolohiya ay ang mas malaking pananagutan sa wastong paggamit nito. Ang AI ay maaaring makatulong sa pagkuha ng impormasyon at paglinang ng mga ideya, ngunit ang katotohanan, pag iisip nang kritikal, at pagkamalikhain ay nananatiling nasa tao. Bilang mga mamamahayag at mag aaral, tungkulin nating gamitin ang teknolohiya nang may integridad at pananagutan.

Patuloy nating ipagmalaki ang Wikang Filipino bilang wika ng kaalaman, komunikasyon, at pagkakaisa. Sa pagsasama ng makabagong teknolohiya at pagmamahal sa sariling wika, mas nagiging bukas ang daan tungo sa mas makabuluhang pananaliksik at mas malawak na pag unawa sa mundo.

Nakikiisa ang The Muhna'To sa buong sambayanang Pilipino sa paggunita ng ika-128 anibersaryo ng Araw ng Kalayaan ngayong ika-12 ng Hunyo. Sa araw na ito, ating inaalala at pinararangalan ang katapangan, sakripisyo, at walang sawang pagmamahal sa bayan ng ating mga bayani na nagbigay daan upang makamit ng bansa ang kalayaang tinatamasa natin ngayon.

Nawa'y magsilbing inspirasyon ang diwang makabayan ng ating mga ninuno upang patuloy nating itaguyod ang katotohanan, pagkakaisa, at pananagutan bilang mga mamamahayag at mamamayang Pilipino. MAITUM, SARANGANI โ€” Habang nagsasagawa ng coverage at panayam ang The Muhna'To Editorial Staff para sa pagbubukas ng klase ng School Year 2026โ€“2027, isang malakas na lindol ang biglaang yumanig sa Mindanao noong umaga ng Hunyo 8, dahilan upang pansamantalang maputol ang mga aktibidad sa paaralan at agarang maisagawa ang mga kinakailangang hakbang pangkaligtasan.

Ayon sa PHIVOLCS, ang lindol ay naitala sa Magnitude 7.8 at naganap bandang 7:37 ng umaga, na may episentro malapit sa baybayin ng Maasim, Sarangani. Dahil dito, agad na nagsagawa ng evacuation at safety assessment ang mga paaralan at lokal na pamahalaan sa mga apektadong lugar.

Kasunod ng pagyanig, inanunsyo rin ang pagsuspinde ng mga klase upang mabigyang-daan ang inspeksyon ng mga gusali at matiyak ang kaligtasan ng mga mag-aaral, g**o, at kawani. Sa kabila ng hindi inaasahang pangyayari sa unang araw ng pasukan, nanatiling kalmado at maagap ang mga Damean sa pagsunod sa mga itinakdang safety protocols.
