𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗜 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲 🏁

MSU-IIT hosted NEXUS: Resilient Iligan, the final leg of DEVCON's AI Angat Mindanao Caravan, eight days across Bukidnon and Iligan, closing with an AI Fluency Masterclass and a hands-on AI Hackathon. MSU-IIT ties for 3rd in the Philippines in the 2026 Times Higher Education World University Rankings alongside De La Salle, Mapua, and UST, the only school outside NCR to make that list, and a fitting home for a room full of Mindanao's builders. High schoolers, college students, and working professionals filled that room together, from STI, St. Michael College, and Acelo Memorial High School, alongside interns from DICT Region 10 and representatives from the Iligan City LGU.

Winston Damarillo, Founder and President of DEVCON Philippines and Founder and CEO of NMBLR AI, opened the day with NMBLR's own AI fluency curriculum, challenging the room to get fluent daily, start now, and build for people who will actually use it. The afternoon split into two hackathon tracks, professional builders and student teams, each working alongside roving mentors to turn a blank page into a working prototype by day's end, with winners earning a mentorship and exam scholarship for Claude Certified Developer or Architect. Most builders used OpenRouter for the first time, learning DEVCON's approach to orchestration over any single tool, one key, every model in one place, while tackling flood warning, energy, halal trade, Shariah finance, and micro-agency challenges on a ten dollar team budget.

Thank you to NMBLR, AMIHAN, DOST Northern Mindanao, DICT, Sui, and Monheim Industries for making this final leg possible. Eight days, two provinces, hundreds of learners across kids, teachers, students, and professionals, the AI Angat Mindanao Caravan is officially complete.
