The 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲–𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 (𝐌𝐒𝐔-𝐌𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐓) successfully conducted the 𝟏𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠-𝐔𝐩 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟏𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 at the MSU-MCEST Gymnasium. Anchored on the theme, “𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬: 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫,” the event celebrated the academic achievements and milestones of the completers and graduates.

The ceremony commenced with a solemn procession, followed by the national anthem, invocation, and welcome address delivered by 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐀𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐡 𝐌. 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐨. The graduates were inspired by the message of the 𝐆𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫, 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐔. 𝐏𝐫𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐝𝐨, 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐈 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 (𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐓).

𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐀. 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐫 delivered an inspirational message and led the confirmation of completers and graduates. Certificates, diplomas, and awards were subsequently distributed to recognize the outstanding academic performance and achievements of the students.

The program concluded with messages of gratitude from student representatives, the pledge of loyalty to the alma mater, musical tributes, and a multimedia presentation, marking a memorable celebration of excellence, perseverance, and new beginnings for the Class of 2026.

The Secondary Department of Mindanao State University–Maigo College of Education, Science and Technology (MSU-MCEST) proudly celebrate the successful conduct of the STEM Research Capstone Project Exhibition and Final Defense of Grade 12-Iris, held at the Audio-Visual Room. The event highlighted the students’ dedication to scientific inquiry, innovation, and research-driven solutions as they presented the culmination of months of hard work, critical thinking, and collaborative learning.

The program formally opened with inspiring message from Atty. Jamaloden A. Basar, Campus Superintendent, who emphasized the importance of research, innovation, and academic excellence in preparing learners to become future leaders and contributors to society.

Following the ceremonial opening of the exhibition, guests, faculty members, and high school students explored the students’ capstone projects, engaging in meaningful discussions with the young researchers regarding their findings, methodologies, and proposed solutions.

The exhibition served as a platform for students to demonstrate their research competencies, creativity, and commitment to addressing real-world challenges through evidence-based inquiry. It was a testament to the department’s continuing pursuit of excellence in STEM education and its mission to nurture future scientists, innovators, and problem-solvers.

The Secondary Department extends its deepest gratitude to Atty. Jamaloden A. Basar (Atty Jab), Campus Superintendent, for his unwavering support and commitment to elevating STEM education and fostering a culture of research and innovation at MSU-MCEST. Special appreciation is likewise extended to Dr. Analyn G. Abdulraof (Analyn G. Abdulraof), Dean of Instruction; Dir. Rasmiah D. Linga (Rasmiah D. Linga), JD, Director for Administration and Finance; and Prof. Aisah M. Paulo (Aisah Paulo), Principal of the Secondary Department, for their steadfast guidance, encouragement, and support in making this academic endeavor a success.

We also sincerely thank the distinguished panelists who generously shared their expertise and insights during the Final Defense: Dr. Karen Gay P. Dy (Karengay Patriady), Director of OREDI; Ma’am Maria Dafodelle C. Paghasian (Dafodelle Paghasian); Ma’am Jonellaire J. Gamos of La Salle Academy Iligan; and Sir Vincent Novem Q. Arenas of La Salle Academy Iligan. Their constructive evaluations and valuable recommendations greatly enriched the students’ learning experience and contributed to the quality of their research outputs.

Special recognition is likewise given to Mr. Oscar O. Romero, Jr. (Oscar Romero), Research Adviser and Capstone Adviser, whose dedication, mentorship, and guidance played an instrumental role in helping the Grade 12-Iris students successfully complete their research journey.

As the exhibition and final defense conclude, the accomplishments of Grade 12-Iris stand as a reflection of perseverance, academic rigor, and the transformative power of research-based learning. Congratulations to all student researchers for this remarkable achievement. May this milestone inspire continued curiosity, innovation, and excellence in the pursuit of knowledge.
