Hilusig National High School A public secondary school in Mahaplag, Leyte. School ID: 305819 HILUSIG NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
Brgy. The decision to set up the school was firmed up by Brgy.

Hilusig, Mahaplag 6512 Leyte Philippines
School ID: 305819

Mayor Daisy T. Abuyabor-Lleve conceived the idea of establishing Hilusig National High School. Hilusig Council Resolution No. 2018-213 and Mahaplag Sangguniang Bayan Resolutions No. 2017-0146 and 2019-0034. The commitment of Leyte Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Ronelo Al K. Firmo to support the establishment of a secondary school in Hilusig was most evident when in June 5, 2019 he proposed that the school must begin as an extension class of Mahaplag National High School-Upper for Grade-7. Hence, on July 1, 31 students moved in and finished their 7th grade with Dr. Noel C. Ayoc, Ms. Meryjoy P. Coretico and Ms. Marmel M. Mabini as teachers. On March 6, 2020, the Regional Director of the Department of Education Region 8, Dr. Ramir B. Uytico finally approved the establishment of the school.
