STEMazing 12 Mercury Students wowed Magsingal National High School with their remarkable Dinagyang Festival Performance

12 Mercury was hailed as the 1st Runner-up of the recently concluded Grade 12 Dance Festival on Feb. 1, 2024. The students gracefully and artistically portrayed the Dinagyang Festival of Iloilo where they displayed vibrant colored props and costumes and lively performance. The said competition was part of their performance task in their subject, HOPE 3.

Aside from their bright-colored props, costumes, and smiles, present as well were their supporters including Mrs. Marilou Asistin, their adviser, Mrs. Jobelle Casiño, their HOPE 3 teacher, numerous students from different grade levels, the very supportive STEM 11 Hermes, friends, families, and friends.

It was in this dance festival that they once again displayed a sense of camaraderie, creativity, artistry, adaptability, teamwork, and family.

The 12 Mercury STEMazing students actively participated in the kick-off of the Department of Education's Catch-Up Fridays program last Friday, Jan. 19, 2024.

The kick-off program continued in their classroom facilitated by their adviser, Mrs. Marilou Asistin, and actively participated by the students engaged in the integration of reading, values, and different concepts discussed.

Their enthusiasm for reading, understanding, and critical thinking have helped them comprehend and accomplish numerous types of school activities such as research papers, oral recitation, story retelling, and discussions on current events. This initiative paves the way for the enhancement of their skills and the improvement of their learning capabilities toward quality education and a transformative future.

The STEMazing Mercurians captivated the center stage with their Bohemian and Hawaiian-inspired outfits during their Year End Party today. They were also touched by the sea breeze as they extended their bond at the beach! 🌊🥥🌺

This shows that our STEMazing Mercurians shine wherever they grace their presence. Together with them were their class adviser, Mrs. Marilou Asistin, and MIL teacher, Mr. Azaleo Tabucao. Behind those sweet smiles lie happy memories that forever they will cherish and reminisce. With happy hearts, they exchanged their Christmas gifts, played joyously, danced gracefully, and received the happiness that once in their lives they've experienced.

STEMAZING STUDENTS OF 12 MERCURY GRACED THE DANCEFLOOR WITH HYPE AND CHARISMA!

For the last few months, 12 Mercury has been very active and participative in academic and extracurricular activities. From showcasing their prowess in SPEECH CHOIR during the Teacher's Day Celebration, having representatives from the class in the Ilocos Sur Robotics Festival 2023, joining the "Our School is Cool" Dance Campaign, and now, gracing the dancefloor with their captivating Cheer dance performance this morning where they secured the 2nd spot of the Top 5 Best Performances.

Measure here 📏 Measure there 📐 Measure Everywhere ⚛️

This may be the motto of the STEMAZING 12 Mercury students as they showed their abilities and prowess in taking up measurements and illustrating them in their General Physics 1 class under their subject teacher, Mrs. Jobelle Casiño. ⚛️📏

It is in this class that they learn the importance of a single point of measurement giving no room for errors, indeed. It teaches them precision, concentration, extreme focus, and a great vision for details. The students may have been facing difficulties inside but it never stopped them from smiling as their teacher always used to inspire them to do so. 'Innovators of Excellence' as we call them but they are the Excited Learners for Greatness as well🏫⚛️📐
