Final Exam is fast approacing ππ
Here are some study techniques you can use π§
1. Feynman Technique: you only know you've mastered a material if you can teach it to a 5 year old. The best teachers teach in ways you can easily understand, and the only way for them to do that is to fully master the material. So study the material, and teach it to your study partner or friend. Or any child. Fill in any gaps and explain so they can understand. Simplify the knowledge and teach again. By teaching, you are being fully immersed in the learning experience.
2. Put Your Phone Away: it's the dam* phones your phone is distracting you too often, be it checking notifications, messages, or social media.
When you're studying, make sure to turn on do not disturb mode and leave it in another room so you can fully focus and study effectively.
3. Pareto Principal: work smart, not hard. Know which assignments and tests weigh the most on your grades, and make sure to spend enough time on them. Don't spend too much time on tasks that are not worth your time. Understand what yields the biggest results, and focus on those tasks.
4. Parkinson's Law: this is the famous adage that work expands to fill the allotted time we set aside for its completion. Or in other words, if you set aside four hours for a task, it will take four hours. If you set aside four weeks for the same task, it will take four weeks. Set artificial deadlines that are a week earlier than the actual deadline, plan your time, write your goals, and aim to finish your tasks earlier. This gives you additional time to polish "finalized" your work, and will lift you to much higher standards compared to "procrastinated work"
Hope this helps ππ
