On 28 JUN 2023 The Gabay-Bayawanon Integrated Farm School along with the Rotary Club of Metro Kidapawan and 512th Engineer Construction (KAAGAPAY) Battalion combined their collective effort and brought happiness and joy to the children and parents of Sitio Kiburing, Brgy. Pangao-an, in the heart of Magpet, Cotabato. The intended event was concocted by Ms. Donabelle S. Cabaya, the school President of Gabay-Bayawanon Integrated Farm School as an annual occasion of almsgiving to the Indigenous People Obo-Manobo tribe of Sitio Kiburing. Care to Love and Share is the primary objective and theme of the laid out community outreach program which was immensely supported by the Rotary Club's President Mr. Loreto Ledesma. The event started with great enthusiasm from both the contributing party and the one hundred (100) local beneficiaries. Wherein, they received food packs and goodies for the children. Additionally, the local populace were also entertained by parlor games crafted by the contingents. This act of altruism is well-observed and practiced by the KAAGAPAY Battalion, leading to the Gabay-Bayawanon Integrated Farm School personally requesting the presence of the unit for the said event. The inhabitants of the barangay are represented by the local pastor and kagawad Hon. John Galuyan Bantac Jr. III accompanied by their Indigenous People Mandatory Representative (IPMR) Hon. Ronelo Empoc, of whom expressed their gratitude and hopes for the continual support and programs in their locality. The occasion ended the same day with a vibrant energy from the parties involved. Seeing the smiles on the children's faces and the laughter of the Indigenous People of the Obo-Manobo tribe is another win for the 512ECB and its partners; a testament that the KAAGAPAY Battalion stands with the non-governmental organizations and their programs for our brothers and sisters in the Indigenous Community. Persistently a genuine and faithful KAAGAPAY for all sectors at all times.
