The edible endemic fig 🇵🇭
Lubi-lubi or niyog-niyogan

This is the Ficus pseudopalma, one of the 100 species of native figs of the Philippines. This species in particular is endemic to the Philippines which means its natural distribution is only in the Philippines.

The young leaves or shoots are harvested as vegetables and are popularly cooked with coconut milk or gata.

The specific epithet "pseudopalma" means "palm-like leaves".
