On December 4, 2025, Magdiwang Elementary School joyfully celebrated its Reading Month Culmination, carrying the inspiring theme “Reading is the bridge to a future full of hope.”
The day began with a lively parade around the town, filling the streets with excitement and pride. This was followed by a meaningful opening program that reminded everyone of the power of reading to change lives and open new doors of opportunity.
The highlight of the celebration was the contest proper, where learners showcased their talents and love for learning through:
• Spelling Bee – Primary and Intermediate Levels
• Likhwento – Primary Level
• Tahirawan – Intermediate Level
• Story Resolution – Intermediate Level
• Poster Making – Primary and Intermediate Levels
• Word Hunt – All Grade Levels
Each activity brought out the confidence, creativity, and potential of our young learners—proof that reading truly shapes dreams and strengthens the future.
This successful and inspiring event was made possible through the strong leadership of our dedicated principal, Sir Juriel Rom , and the unwavering commitment of the hardworking teachers of MES. Together, they continue to guide our learners with passion, purpose, and hope.

A Successful 2-Day GAD Training of MES faculty & staff at Magdiwang Elementary School

A meaningful and successful 2-day Gender and Development (GAD) Training was held at Magdiwang Elementary School, led by our dedicated and supportive school principal, Sir Juriel Rom . The training concluded yesterday, November 23, marking the final day filled with learning, collaboration, and active participation.
Throughout the program, all participants showed impressive enthusiasm and engagement in every activity. Everyone gained valuable knowledge and deeper understanding on important GAD topics such as gender disparity, breaking stereotypes, importance of empathy in conflict resolution, and creating a more inclusive school environment.
This training served as an opportunity to strengthen teamwork, promote respect, and build a community where every learner and educator feels valued and heard. Truly, it was a meaningful experience that will inspire positive changes in our school and community.
Congratulations to all participants and to our School GAD Coordinator Catherine Tansingco Rivas-Paniagua for the success of this event!
