|CABIS Journalists Make Their Mark at DSPC 2026|
Behind every story written, deadline met, and competition faced were young writers who dared to put their thoughts into words. Their hard work paid off as campus journalists from Cabaruan Integrated School brought home several awards during the Division Schools Press Conference 2026, held on September 2–4, 2026.
Leading the group was Paul Angelo Ranche, who secured 3rd Place in News Writing – Secondary English, earning his spot to the Regional Schools Press Conference.
Other campus journalists also made their mark in their respective categories:
📍4th Place – Marianne Faith Ayap- Copy editing and Headline Writing, Elementary Filipino
📍5th Place – Lycka Ronquillo - Feature Writing, Secondary Filipino
📍7th Place – Jasmine Attaban - Editorial Writing, Secondary Filipino
Behind these achievements were the dedication and guidance of their School Paper Advisers : Femie Ann Samaniego, Marivel Pascion, Alelie Joy Marcos, and Marilyn Ayap, who stood beside the young journalists as they trained, revised, practiced, and prepared for the competition.
For the students, the DSPC was more than a contest. It was an opportunity to find their voice, sharpen their skills, and gain confidence as young storytellers.
Their accomplishments serve as a reminder that every award begins with courage; the courage to write, to compete, and to tell stories that matter.
