A Night of Unity and Celebration: Ichon National High Schoolโ€™s Induction & Acquaintance Program 2026

The campus of Ichon National High School came alive with music, laughter, and fellowship as students, teachers, parents, and community leaders gathered for the much-anticipated Induction & Acquaintance Program 2026 on July 3, 2026. Far more than a formal ceremony, the event became a showcase of leadership, talent, and camaraderie.

The program began with solemnity and pride as newly elected General PTA Officers, HRPTA Officers, Classroom Officers, Club Organizations, and school-based organizations (SSLG, BKD, YES-O) took their oaths of office. Their commitment symbolized a renewed dedication to service and collaboration within the school community.

From formality to festivity, the program quickly shifted gears. Learners from different grade levels lit up the stage with dance presentations and amazing vocal duets, proving that Ichon NHS is also a home for creativity and artistry. The energy soared higher with interactive games like Bring Me Something and Hephep Hooray, which brought cheers and laughter from the crowd.

As the night settled, classrooms transformed into cozy spaces for refreshments, fellowship, and socialization. Music and entertainment filled the air, while photo opportunities captured moments destined to become cherished memories.

The evening then reached its peak energy with a spirited Mass Dance led by SSLG, YES-O, and BKD officers. Held after dinner, the dance became a symbol of teamwork, unity, and the youthful spirit that defines Ichon National High School.

For many, the Induction & Acquaintance Program was not only a celebration of leadership but also a reminder of the bonds that tie the school community together. It was a day when tradition met creativity, and when every student felt part of something larger than themselves.

Ichon National High School participated in the first quarter nationwide simultaneous earthquake drill at 3:00 p.m. on March 12, an initiative spearheaded by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) to strengthen disaster preparedness across the country.

Students and faculty carried out the "duck, cover, and hold" procedure before evacuating to designated safe zones, guided by the teachers. The activity emphasized discipline, coordination, and readiness in the face of seismic hazards.

Immediately after the earthquake drill, the school also conducted a fire drill in observance of Fire Prevention Month, reinforcing awareness of fire safety and emergency response.
