Theme: “No to Drugs, Yes to Sports”

The Barangay Anibongan successfully initiated and conducted a Drug Awareness Symposium held at Anibongan National High School, with the purpose of strengthening awareness among the youth about the dangers of illegal drugs and the importance of choosing a healthy lifestyle. The activity was attended by the students and teachers of the school, who actively listened and participated throughout the program.

The symposium officially opened with a meaningful Welcome Message by Melvin Tuba, setting the tone of the program and encouraging everyone to stay away from drugs and focus on positive and productive activities. Patrol Man Jerome P. Sosas shared valuable knowledge and insights as part of the Anti-Illegal Drugs Campaign, emphasizing the harmful effects of illegal drugs and the role of students in building a safe, disciplined, and drug-free community.

With the theme “No to Drugs, Yes to Sports,” the symposium highlighted sports and healthy activities as powerful alternatives that promote physical fitness, mental well-being, discipline, and teamwork. This initiative of Barangay Anibongan served as a strong reminder that through education, guidance, and community support, the youth can be empowered to make responsible choices.

Together, we stand united in saying NO to drugs and YES to sports, health, and a brighter future for the students of Anibongan National High School.

The ANHS Drum and Lyre Corps delivered a powerful opening performance at the Araw ng Lapu-Lapu celebrations in Barangay Lapu-lapu, Maco, Davao de oro, setting an energetic and festive tone for the event. Their dynamic presentation immediately captured the attention of the audience and marked a strong start to the celebration.

Through discipline, dedication, and days of practice, the group showcased excellence as they confidently marched through the streets, their polished uniforms and resonant music drawing enthusiastic applause from the crowd. The overwhelming response affirmed the ANHS Drum and Lyre Corps as a remarkable ensemble and a pride of the school.

𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙢𝙚: “𝙁𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙖𝙩 𝙉𝙪𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮, 𝙈𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮! 𝙎𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙩 𝙣𝙖 𝙋𝙖𝙜𝙠𝙖𝙞𝙣, 𝙆𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙣 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣!”

Anibongan National High School proudly concluded its Nutrition Month 2025 celebration with a vibrant and meaningful culmination program that brought together students, teachers, and the wider school community in the spirit of health and wellness advocacy.

Led by 𝐓𝐋𝐄 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐨𝐲 𝐕. 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 and in collaboration with the hardworking TLE Department, the program was a showcase of students’ talents, creativity, and commitment to the importance of nutrition in daily life. The event opened with a solemn prayer, the singing of the national anthem, and a welcome address by 𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙡 𝙄𝙑 𝙁𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙭𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙤 𝙇. 𝙇𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙮, who underscored the right of every learner to access healthy and sufficient food.

A keynote message from 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐰𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐌. 𝐍𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐚 highlighted the role of proper nutrition in achieving a brighter, healthier future for all. Adding honor to the occasion was 𝐏𝐓𝐀 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐄𝐥𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐏. 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐥𝐢, who was recognized for his unwavering support of student growth and development.

𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:

𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 & 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲: Grade 11 – Earth/Uranus secured First Place in both, presenting meals that were not only affordable and healthy, but also creative and team-driven.

𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁: Grade 12 – Exodus captured First Place with a compelling image that powerfully reflected this year’s theme.

𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Grade 7 – Mayon took the top spot with their energetic and inspiring performance promoting fitness and wellness.

A heartfelt thank you to our esteemed judges, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐖𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐋𝐲𝐧 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐬, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝐀𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧, for their fair and thoughtful evaluation of each event. Their expertise and presence gave weight and integrity to the celebration.

Closing the event with laughter and excitement, a raffle draw brought smiles to the faces of both students and teachers, reminding everyone that nutrition can be both educational and enjoyable.

This year’s celebration was more than an event, it was a call to action. Anibongan NHS remains committed to shaping learners who are not only academically prepared but also aware of their rights and responsibilities in securing their health and well-being. With programs that inform, inspire, and ignite action, we continue to nurture healthy minds and strong bodies for a better tomorrow.

Anibongan National High School proudly conducted its 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥-𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐆𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥 to recognize the dedication, service, and excellence of its teaching and non-teaching personnel.

A special tribute was given to 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐄𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐓. 𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐨, Teacher III, for her retirement after 𝟑𝟑 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Surrounded by her family and colleagues, she delivered an inspiring message emphasizing the power of unity among educators, stating, “𝒪𝓃𝑒 𝒻𝑜𝓇 𝒜𝓁𝓁, 𝒜𝓁𝓁 𝒻𝑜𝓇 𝒪𝓃𝑒.”
