Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) Officers of Paagahan Integrated National High School proudly displayed a DAPC Week 2025 tarpaulin at the school gate and updated the campus bulletin board to promote this year’s theme: ‘Sa Bagong Pilipinas, Kalusugan ay Pinapahalagahan, Droga ay Inaayawan.’

These initiatives aim to raise awareness and strengthen the school community’s commitment to a healthier, drug-free environment. Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Week is celebrated nationwide every third week of November to promote education, prevention, and united efforts against substance abuse.

BKD - Paagahan INHS Election of Officers

On July 11, 2025, the election of officers for the Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) Program was successfully conducted at the Multi-Purpose Hall of Paagahan Integrated National High School. Students actively participated in selecting their new set of leaders who will serve as role models and advocates of a drug-free lifestyle within the school and the community. The newly elected officers are expected to spearhead various anti-drug campaigns and awareness activities throughout the school year.

The Barkada Kontra Droga is a peer-based program initiated by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in coordination with the Department of Education (DepEd). It aims to empower the youth to be catalysts in promoting a drug-free environment by encouraging positive peer influence, leadership, and active
participation in anti-drug education and prevention efforts.
