The Philippines' Bureau of Foods and Drugs has registered Tsaang Gubat as a medicinal plant due to its proven therapeutic properties.
Tsaang gubat, also known as Ehretia microphylla or Carmona retusa, is a shrub native to the Philippines with a rich history of medicinal use. It's known for its anti-spasmodic and anti-diarrheal properties, and is traditionally used to treat stomach problems, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. The leaves are commonly prepared as a tea, giving it the name "tsaang gubat," which translates to "forest tea".

𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗥𝗬 | Sana Umulan Para Suspended

A post what I saw
“Sana umulan para suspended.”

It’s something people say — casually, playfully —
hoping for dark skies and flooded streets.
Because for some, rain means rest.
Rain means no classes.
Rain means a break from stress.
Rain, for them, is comfort.

But not everyone feels the same.
Not everyone looks at the rain and finds relief.

Some people look at the sky and silently pray for it to stop,
some watch the clouds gather with quiet fear.
For them, rain doesn’t mean comfort,
It means another sleepless night,
It means moving furniture to higher ground,
It means carrying their children through muddy water, again.

While others laugh and wait for the next announcement,
someone else is shivering beneath a roof full of holes,
hugging themselves as the cold seeps into their bones.

While some enjoy coffee, blankets, and a reason to stay in bed,
others are outside, trying to save what little they have left —
their soaked pillows, their wet clothes,
their half-eaten meals floating in the water,
their home slowly turning into a river.

Because not everyone finds peace when it rains.
Not everyone feels warmth when the world turns gray.
Not everyone can afford to lose another night of sleep,
not everyone gets the comfort others have been given.

For some, rain is a reason to relax.
For others, it’s a reason to cry.

There are people who survive storm after storm,
whose lives are ruined every time someone wishes for floods
without knowing what floods truly take.
There are children who fear the sound of heavy rain,
because it means another day of wet notebooks and empty stomachs.

Not everyone is in the same situation.
Not everyone shares the same comfort,
not everyone calls the rain “rest.”
Not everyone survives what others casually wish for.

The scientific name for batwan (also spelled batuan) is Garcinia binucao. It is a species of flowering plant in the Clusiaceae family, endemic to the Philippines.

This tree is more than 600 years old. It is very big and tall. The trunk is so wide that over 60 people can stand inside. Many people visit this tree because it is old and very large.

The Visayan spotted deer (Rusa alfredi), also known as the Visayan deer, the Philippine spotted deer[3] or Prince Alfred's deer, is a small, endangered, primarily nocturnal species of deer found in the rainforests of the Visayan Islands of Panay and Negros. It once was found across other islands, such as Cebu, Guimaras, Leyte, Masbate, and Samar. It is one of three endemic deer species found in the Philippines, although it was not recognized as a separate species until 1983. An estimated 2,500 mature individuals survived worldwide in 1996, according to the IUCN; today’s surviving wild number is uncertain. The diet of the deer, which consists of a variety of different types of grasses, leaves, and buds within the forest, is the primary indicator of its habitat. Since 1991, the range of the species has severely decreased and is now almost co-extensive with that of the Visayan warty pig.

Ficus pseudopalma. Ficus pseudopalma is a species of fig, (subgenus Sycamorus) in the mulberry family (Moraceae). It is known by the common names Philippine fig, dracaena fig, and palm-leaf fig. In nature it is endemic to the Philippines, especially the island of Luzon.
