Imagine having a close friend that you trust deeply, someone you shared everything with. Now think about how it would feel if you said you were best friends but continually acted as if you didn’t care about that friendship. Maybe you ignore their calls, gossip about them,or do things that hurt them. This verse is saying that our relationship with God is similar.
When we claim to be close to Him but then make choices that go against what He teaches like being unkind, dishonest, or living in ways that don’t reflect His goodness it doesn’t add up. It’s like saying we’re friends but then not treating Him like one.
So, it’s a gentle reminder for us to look at ourselves and ask: Are we truly living in a way that matches our fate? Are we walking in the light of love, kindness, and truth? It’s an invitation to be real, to not just say we believe but to let that belief shape how we live everyday. ✨
