We usually donโ€™t think much about where our trash ends up. Once it leaves our hands, it feels as if itโ€™s no longer our concern. But, poor waste management is not something that goes away quietly. It builds up in the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the spaces we share.

When we donโ€™t bother to separate our trash, it doesnโ€™t just โ€œsit there.โ€ It rots, leaks, and slowly turns into something harmful. Liquids from mixed waste can seep into the ground. Rotting garbage releases gases into the air. Piles of trash attract pests and make it easier for illnesses to spread. And the effects donโ€™t stop at the environment. They reach people. They reach us. It affects our health, our campus surroundings, and even the local economy. Unclean areas discourage people from visiting and raise costs for healthcare and cleanup.

Segregating waste sounds simple because it is. A small decision at the bin can prevent larger problems later on. This is about responsibility, yes, but itโ€™s also about respect. Respect for the people around us and for the community weโ€™re part of.

If we want a cleaner campus, it starts with what we choose to throw and where we choose to throw it.

Kaya Ko, Kaya Mo: Sir Junโ€™s Story of Hope and Perseverance ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™

From humble beginnings to standing at the front of the classroom, Sir Junโ€™s journey is a powerful reminder that dreams are built through perseverance, faith, and an unwavering belief in oneself.

Once a dreamer faced with challenges, Sir Jun held on to his purpose and worked tirelessly to become a professor. Now a proud SEAS faculty member, he inspires students through both his teaching and his journeyโ€”proof that Kaya Ko, Kaya Mo.

Sir Jun is also one of our featured wishers in the NU Clark Christmas ID, sharing not just a message, but a testament of hope for every Nationalian who may be doubting their path right now.

Let his story inspire you to keep going, keep believing, and keep dreaming.
Because your journeyโ€”just like hisโ€”matters. โœจ
