Al Renz Reyes Valen is one of the pioneers and proud first board passers of MCC for B.S. in Customs Administration year 2016. During his college, he never taught choosing the course Customs Administration as his first choice then was Economics. He doubted if he could ever go to college due to the high cost of collegiate studies. However, MCC was instrumental to Al Renz's dream of finishing college.

During his stay at MCC, he actively participated in quiz bees, debates, and other extra-curricular activities. Al Renz was a consistent school representative for the National Competition on Tariff Classification and become a two-time 1st runner-up. He graduated as the Outstanding Student for Tariff Classification in 2016 and the same year he passed the board examination for Customs Brokers.

In 2016, Valen applied to various manufacturing companies specializing in the field of Supply Chain Management, International Trade, and Trade Facilitation. Unlike fresh graduates, He did not have any difficulties applying for the job primarily because of the good credentials that he gained from MCC.

At present, Al Renz is a College Instructor and a Purchasing Supervisor โ€“ Importation at Yokohama Tire Philippines, Inc. As a Purchasing Supervisor, he is In-Charge of all operations affecting Importation. He developed procedures for business operations, handling and training of staff. He also serves as a Consultant for customs and tariff-related matters, and a Relation Officer to government agencies such as the Bureau of Internal Revenue, Philippine National Police, Commission on Election, Bureau of Customs, CDC, SBMA, and other agencies. Al Renz believes that Yokohama Tire is the best organization to work with because the management supports and trusts its employees for professional growth. During weekends, he takes time to advance his education through graduate studies.

Al Renz expressed that MCC has truly provided all the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies that would ensure the success of all its students.

Mr. Norman Dayrit graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Customs Administration and passed the licensure examination for Customs Broker last 2016. He chose this degree because he sees himself working in logistics.

Dayrit's first job was as an operation assistant. Although he worked hard in his company, he realized that he needed to advance more in his career. Thus, he wanted to immerse himself in more challenging positions that will enhance his skills as a customs broker. In 2020, He applied at FedEx, his dream company. He started as a Clearance Agent-Associate and soon became Clearance Agent. In the same year, Intra-Company Visa opened employment opportunities in Japan and Norman was very fortunate to be selected as one of the employees to be sent to Japan. They gave him the chance to live in Japan and experience support office works and warehouse tasks. He has been in Japan for more than two years now.

Mabalacat City College congratulates Mr. Norman Dayrit for keeping his sight on the goal towards a better and productive life.

Uncertain about his career path after high school, his former adviser and mentor, Richard John W. Hernandez, who graduated with honor and was qualified as one of the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines in the region, inspired him to go to Mabalacat City College. But instead of choosing the same career as his mentor, Karl Monderick went to Bachelor of Science in Information Technology as he was fond of computers and games like much other youth back in the day.

Karl Monderick started his student life at MCC in 2014, and spent most of his time on academics. In 2015, he was exposed to extra-curricular activities such as student government programs. He served as the President of the Supreme Student Council in 2018 through the support and encouragement of his co-students and teachers.

He was a consistent President and Chairman's Lister and a CHED Scholar as well. Eventually, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from his institute and got the PSITE IT Excellence and Leadership award. Truly the tassel is worth the hassle.

MCC became a gateway of opportunities and helped him love programing. In fact, he was able to represent the institution in various Hackathons back in college. This experience enabled him to envision what he wanted for his career. In 2019, he started his career as a full-stack developer at Full-Stack HQ. Mainly, his projects included internal tools, dashboards, software as a service, and machine learning

Currently, Karl Monderick is a Software Engineer at SiteMinder, the world's leading hotel commerce platform.
