EDSA at 40: A Legacy of Unity
Forty years ago, Filipinos gathered along Epifanio de los Santos Avenue in what became known as the People Power Revolution. It was a moment that showed the world the strength of peaceful unity and the power of collective action.
As we commemorate its 40th anniversary, we remember that EDSA was not just a historical eventโit was a reminder that change is possible when people stand together with courage and hope.
Todayโs generation may face different challenges, but the core values remain the same: participation, responsibility, and love for our country. Democracy continues to grow when citizens stay informed, engaged, and respectful of one anotherโs voices.
Forty years later, the spirit of EDSA lives onโnot only in our history books, but in how we choose to build our future.
