The Supreme Secondary Learner Government joined the entire MCNHS community in celebrating the 𝗕𝘂𝘄𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗶𝗸𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗡 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 held on 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, at the 𝗠𝗖𝗡𝗛𝗦 𝗚𝘆𝗺𝗻𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺. 🩷✨

The celebration brought together learners and members of the school community through performances, trivia activities, and presentations that highlighted the beauty of Filipino language and culture while celebrating the shared heritage and unity of ASEAN nations. 🇵🇭🌏🎶

From the music we sing to the languages we speak, the program served as a reminder of how culture connects us, even across different communities and countries. It was a celebration of identity, diversity, and the many ways we can remain united while embracing what makes us different. 🤝📚

The SSLG extends its appreciation to everyone who helped make the celebration meaningful and memorable, especially the learners, performers, teachers, and school personnel who took part in the event.

Sa bawat salitang ating binibigkas, may kuwentong nabubuhay, kulturang naipapasa, at pagkakakilanlang patuloy na pinagyayaman. Ngayong ipinagdiriwang natin ang Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa, muli nating balikan ang kahalagahan ng wikang Filipino sa paghubog sa atin bilang mga Pilipino.

Ngayong taon, ating ipinagdiriwang ang Buwan ng Wika sa temang "𝑾𝒊𝒌𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑭𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒐 𝒂𝒕 𝑨𝑰: 𝑲𝒂𝒔𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒌𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒏 𝒔𝒂 𝑷𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒔𝒊𝒌𝒂𝒕 𝑻𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒚 𝒔𝒂 𝒀𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝒏𝒈 𝑰𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒔𝒚𝒐𝒏." Sa mundong patuloy na binabago ng teknolohiya ang paraan ng ating pagkatuto, pakikipagkomunikasyon, at pagtuklas ng impormasyon, nananatiling mahalagang tulay ang ating wika na nag-uugnay sa kaalaman, pagkakakilanlan, at kultura.

Higit pa sa mga salita, ang wika ay bahagi ng ating pagkakakilanlan. Dala nito ang ating mga kuwento, pinananatili nito ang ating kultura, at binibigyan nito ng tinig ang ating mga ideya at karanasan.

Habang patuloy tayong sumusulong sa makabagong panahon, nawa’y huwag nating kalimutan ang wikang nagsisilbing ugat ng ating pagkakakilanlan. Patuloy tayong magsalita, matuto, magsaliksik, at lumikha nang may pagmamalaki sa sariling wika—kasabay ng responsableng paggamit sa mga makabagong teknolohiya.

“𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒇𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒔, 𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒚 𝒇𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘?”

A domino falls. Then another. Then another. Not because each one chose to fall, but because the first made it easier for the next to follow.

Perhaps that is what we should be thinking about now.

In the past months, we have seen school violence happen here in our own country, 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐓𝐚𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐙𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚. Students, families, and entire school communities have been left carrying a kind of grief that should never have found its way into places meant for learning, growing, and feeling safe.

And now, when threats begin appearing on our own screens, we have to ask ourselves:

𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫, 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰?

When one threat inspires another, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐟𝐚𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭. What may begin with one person can affect hundreds of students, worried parents, teachers, and an entire community. And when a harmful act becomes something others see and follow, the danger is no longer just what has already happened. It is what might happen next.

A threat may begin as words on a screen, but its impact does not stay there. It can change how a student walks through the school gates, how a parent waits for their child to come home, and how a community feels about a place that should have always felt safe.

𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬. They are not challenges to copy, jokes to pass around, or content waiting for another share. They should never become something we get used to.

Perhaps the most dangerous thing is not simply that one domino falls, but that we start believing the next one is supposed to fall too.

So let this be where the chain stops. Don't give threats an audience. Don't give harmful actions a precedent. And don't allow something that should never be normal to become something we simply learn to accept.

Think before you post. Think before you share. Think about what your actions might inspire in the person who comes after you.

Because the question is not only, “When one falls, how many follow?"

Perhaps the better question is:
