AJONAY SA KABATAAN: MAASIN CITY LEARNERS’ CONVERGENCE 2026

A meaningful gathering of young learners in Maasin City that aims to strengthen leadership, active participation in learner governance, environmental awareness, and advocacy against drug abuse.

With the theme “Hearts in Action: United Learners, Empowered Leaders, Stronger Communities,” the activity encourages young people to become responsible, empowered, and active partners in building a safer, greener, and stronger community.

The convergence also highlights “From Drip to Purpose: Donate. Upcycle. Empower!”, encouraging participants to donate used clothing and pre-loved items that can be transformed into useful and sustainable products.

Young learners today, empowered leaders of tomorrow!

Today, we proudly celebrate the 13th Founding Anniversary of Matin-aw National High School.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who have contributed to the establishment, growth, and success of our school through the years. Our sincere thanks go to the former and present Barangay Council, Hon. Roger Mercado (1st District Congressman), Gov. Mian Mercado, Schools Division Superintendent Genis S. Murallos, the past and present personnel of the Department of Education Region VIII and the Schools Division Office of Maasin City, former and present school heads, local government units (LGUs), teachers, alumni, private individuals, the people of Barangay Matin-aw and neighboring barangays, and many others who have supported our institution.

We also give special recognition to those who have worked tirelessly and quietly behind the scenes. Your invaluable contributions, dedication, and support have helped shape Matin-aw National High School and continue to inspire its progress and development up to the present day.

Matin-aw NHS successfully conducted its Quarter 2 Program Implementation Review (PIR) under the leadership of Mr. Christopher D. Kuizon, School Principal III.

The activity served as a meaningful platform to reflect on our accomplishments, assess challenges, and identify strategic actions that will further strengthen the delivery of quality education. Through collaborative discussions and data-driven planning, we remain committed to continuous improvement and excellence in serving our learners.

Noong araw, maraming Pilipino ang nagsakripisyo ng buhay, dugo, at pangarap upang makamit ang kalayaan na tinatamasa natin ngayon. Dahil sa kanilang katapangan, malaya tayong makapag-aral, makapagsalita, at makapangarap para sa ating kinabukasan.

Ngayong ika-12 ng Hunyo, hindi lamang natin ipinagdiriwang ang isang mahalagang petsa sa kasaysayan—ipinagdiriwang natin ang diwang Pilipino na puno ng tapang, pagkakaisa, at pagmamahal sa bayan. ❤️💙💛

Bilang kabataan, tayo ang pag-asa ng susunod na henerasyon. Ipagpatuloy natin ang kanilang sinimulan sa pamamagitan ng pagiging responsable, makabayan, at may malasakit sa kapwa at sa ating bansa.
