Bullying is when someone teases, hurts, or even scar another person with intent, this can happen anywhere especially in school. School is where we come to learn, discover who we are, and prepare for our futures. But none of us can truly thrive if our peers are being made to feel small, isolated, or excluded.
A school is only as strong as the way we treat our most vulnerable classmates. True leadership isn't about being the loudest in the room, having the most followers, or being in the "right" crowd. It is about using your voice to stand up for someone else, inviting the person sitting alone to sit with you, and refusing to participate in gossip or rumors.
Letโs commit to making our campus a place where everyone feels safe to walk through the front doors every single morning. Check in on your friends. Be kind to strangers. Let's make our school known for its empathy, not its exclusion.
Republic Act No. 10627, or the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013, is a Philippine law that requires all public and private elementary and secondary schools to adopt specific policies and procedures to prevent and address physical, verbal, and cyber-bullying in their institutions.
Letโs look out for eachother, report violations, and actively choose kindness in campus and online. Be aware of your rights, stand up for others, and keep our campus safe.
