As Kumon Philippines celebrates 30 years of nurturing lifelong learners, we are grateful to see familiar faces from Kumon Tunga-Tunga (Maasin) Center among the photos accompanying this meaningful anniversary story.

For us, seeing our students and our Center in these images is a simple but special reminder that behind Kumon’s 30-year journey are countless children, families, and Centers—each with their own story of learning and growth.

We are grateful to be one of the many Centers carrying forward a mission that continues with every child who discovers what they are capable of.

𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝘆.

Today, we celebrate 30 years of Kumon in the Philippines—three decades of nurturing potential, building confidence, and helping generations of children grow into capable, independent learners.

At the same time, here in Maasin, we come together in faith and gratitude for the Feast of Our Lady of the Assumption, our beloved patroness. As our city celebrates its fiesta, we are reminded of the faith, traditions, families, and community that continue to shape the place we call home.

For Kumon Tunga-Tunga (Maasin) Center, these two celebrations beautifully come together: a mission that continues to grow, and a community that gives that mission a home.

We are grateful to be part of both journeys. May we continue to nurture the potential of every child entrusted to us while remaining rooted in the community and values that have carried us this far.

As Maasin City celebrates its 26th Cityhood Anniversary today, August 10, 2026, Kumon Tunga-Tunga (Maasin) Center remains open with shortened hours from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

We are available for Parent Orientation, Child Assessment, Admin Transactions, and IC/RI Classes.

To our fellow Maasinhons, happy 26th Cityhood Anniversary! 🎉 May we continue to grow together as a community.

Some stories deserve more than a social media post. They deserve to be remembered.

Today, we are proud to launch KTMC Growth Files—a new publication from Kumon Tunga-Tunga (Maasin) Center dedicated to sharing stories, insights, and lessons that inspire children, parents, teachers, and our community to grow together.

Our first feature, Beyond the Finish Line, tells Miguel Geraldo's journey—not simply as a story of completing the Kumon Mathematics Program, but as a reflection on resilience, patience, and the courage to begin again.

We hope every Growth File reminds us that learning is more than academic achievement. It is about discovering potential, building character, and becoming the person we are capable of being.

As we conclude our final batch of the Ready to Learn, Ready to Grow Peer Meeting, we celebrate not just a successful event, but the beginning of new opportunities for every child.

Every new school year is a chance to discover new strengths, overcome new challenges, and grow through every experience. We hope our students continue to approach learning with curiosity, resilience, and the confidence to believe that they can always become better than they were yesterday.

Today, we celebrate someone whose gentle heart, quiet dedication, and unwavering commitment have touched the lives of many children and families at Kumon Tunga-Tunga (Maasin) Center.

Teacher Lou has been a faithful part of the Center's journey, growing not only in knowledge and skill but also in compassion, patience, and service. Her calm presence, willingness to learn, and sincere care for every child reflect the values that make a true Kumon educator.

As she celebrates another year of life, may she continue to experience God's abundant blessings, good health, renewed strength, and overflowing joy. May this new chapter bring beautiful opportunities, precious moments with her growing family, and continued fulfillment in all that she does.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗼 "𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿."

Wondering where Teacher Chiqui was last July 22–23?

Teacher Chiqui was in Manila to attend the Kumon Philippines National Instructors' Conference, followed by the Networking Dinner and the Mentoring Plenary. Every year, these gatherings provide an opportunity for Kumon Instructors from across the country to learn, reflect, collaborate, and grow together. This year's event was made even more memorable as Kumon Philippines marked its 30th Anniversary.

At Kumon, we believe that learning never ends. We keep giving things a try, or, as the Japanese say, Yattemiyo, because every attempt is an opportunity to discover something better.

That is why we continue to learn, not only for ourselves, but for every child and family we serve. Because every step we take as educators is another step toward something better for our students.

Thank you for allowing Kumon Tunga-Tunga (Maasin) Center to be part of your child's journey. As we continue to learn and grow, we look forward to discovering something better, together. 💙

Another meaningful Saturday, another group of students ready to begin the school year with confidence!

Our second batch enjoyed an afternoon of learning, teamwork, laughter, and new friendships while discovering that success is built one habit, one worksheet, and one day at a time.

Because when these habits are practiced both in school and in Kumon, students don't just achieve good grades, they become confident, independent learners.
