The teaching force of Macangao Agricultural Vocational High School (MAVHS) held a School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) session on 2026-2027 Performance Management and Evaluation System (PMES) Cycle at the Food Laboratory today.

In line with Department of Education (DepEd) Memorandum No. 089, s. 2025, Master Teacher Kenneth Nudque facilitated the activity to boost teachers' literacy on Multi Year PMES framework, including its phases, processes and Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST)-anchored Means of Verifications (MOVs).

Meanwhile, Principal Mrs. Ella Abayhon reaffirmed her commitment to upgrading teacher professional practice and bolstering campus development.

To strike the balance between campus security and learners' rights, Macangao Agricultural Vocational High School (MAVHS) shifted to no physical contact bag inspections starting today.

This is in line with the directive of Department of Education (DepEd) Order 006, s. 2026 to prevent security threats while inspections are done through non-contact methods such as using search sticks.

In a statement, Principal Mrs. Ella Abayhon said the policy is for the safety of schools, especially the students, the teaching and non-teaching personnel.

"My only concern is the safety of the entire school community. That's why we are following this order," she added.

She hopes that the community will be cooperative in avoiding bullying in order to sustain a good learning environment in our school.
