Pormal na binuksan ng Paaralang Elementarya ng Macangao Sentral ang pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa 2026 ngayong araw sa isinagawang Flag Ceremony, na dinaluhan ng lahat ng mga g**o at mag-aaral. Tampok sa pagbubukas ang pagsusuot ng mga g**o ng tradisyunal na kasuotang Pilipino, habang hinikayat din ang mga mag-aaral na magsuot ng angkop na pambansang kasuotan bilang pagpapakita ng pagmamahal at pagpapahalaga sa kulturang Pilipino.

Sa pangunguna ni G. Ariston C. Gudes, Punongg**o at ng Pampaaralang Tagapag-ugnay at Dalubg**o na si G. Jan Michael C. Liporada, matagumpay na inilunsad ang pagdiriwang na may temang โ€œWikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon.โ€ Binigyang-diin sa programa ang mahalagang papel ng Wikang Filipino sa makabagong panahon, lalo na sa responsableng paggamit ng Artificial Intelligence bilang katuwang sa pagkatuto, pananaliksik, at pagpapalawak ng kaalaman.

Sa pamamagitan ng pagdiriwang na ito, muling pinagtibay ng Macangao Sentral ang kanyang adhikain na linangin ang pagmamahal sa sariling wika, kultura, at pagkakakilanlan, habang isinusulong ang makabago at makabuluhang edukasyon para sa bawat mag-aaral.

To monitor school readiness for the opening of classes for SY 2026-2027, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Christian N. Sango and Curriculum Implementation Division Chief Dr. Nancy P. Sumagaysay together with Lupon East District - Public Schools District Supervisor Renato N. Adlawan visited schools in Lupon East during the first day of classes on June 8, 2026.

The visit aims to monitor overall school preparedness and readiness as the new school year opens and compliance to OBE monitoring tool ensuring the safety and conduciveness of school environment for learning.

ASDS Sango, CID-Chief Sumagaysay, and PSDS Adlawan, monitored several schools in the district including Don Mariano Marcos Elementary School, Don Mariano Marcos NHS and Calapagan Elementary School respectively.

Meanwhile, the monitoring activity was cut short as a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck Sarangani province with intensity V felt in Davao Oriental.

Despite the unforeseen incident, the activity was still a success with both ASDS Sango and CID-Chief Sumagaysay providing technical assistance, recommendation and expressed their full-support as the brand new school-year officially begins.

To monitor the effectiveness of summer remediation programs and improvements in learner proficiency, the Lupon East District, Division of Davao Oriental conducted the first presentation of accomplishments for the 2026 Summer Remediation Programs (SRPs) on June 3, 2026 at Lupon East District Conference Hall, a day after the culmination of the said program.

This initiative aimed to check the progress of learnersโ€™ proficiency in Reading and Mathematics after the 20-day implementation of SRPs which includes ARAL-Reading, ARAL-Mathematics, SHS Remediation in Reading and Mathematics and the Summer Academic Remedial Program.

Headed by PSDS Renato N. Adlawan in partnership with Division Education Program Supervisors Mr. Luis G. Culaba Jr and Mr. Norman F. Tomas, the successful conduct of the activity enabled ARAL Focals in both Elementary and Secondary schools in the district to share their improvements in reading in mathematics as a result of the implementation of the SRPs.

This avenue helped ARAL focal persons to lobby the challenges they encountered during implementation and find ways moving forward in order to sustain further improvements in learnersโ€™ proficiency.

PSDS Adlawan challenged school ARAL coordinators to continue to dedicate their efforts towards the improvement of learners.

Further, EPS Culaba and Tomas commended the school coordinators for their dedication and commitment in implementing the said program and provided technical assistance to schools to better improve the implementation of the program in the future.

The ARAL-Summer presentation of accomplishment report is the first in the entire Division of Davao Oriental.
