Itโ€™s another Friday at Ernesto D. Violan National High School, and the faculty and staff worked together to prepare free snacks for the learners. This weekโ€™s special treat was warm champorado, a traditional Filipino sweet chocolate rice porridge made by boiling sticky rice with cocoa powder or tablea and sugar.

Teachers and school utility, Mrs. Marivic Tulo, worked together to ensure that every learner received their share in an orderly and timely manner. The warm treat was well-received, especially as it gave students an energy boost before dismissal. After eating, some students were seen washing the mugs they used. This showcased a bayanihan spirit among learners.

This Friday snack program continues to support learnersโ€™ health and nutrition. It also brought comfort to learners amid a busy week of classes and activities.

We would like to commend and appreciate the efforts of our talented EDVNHS students who performed an intermission number during the 57th Araw ng Barangay, San Isidro last June 23,2026.

Your energy, dedication, and teamwork truly made the celebration more lively and memorable.

We also appreciate your heart. With your cash gift from the Barangay, you chose to share by giving a total of 60 mugs to our school, Ernesto D. Violan National High School. Such a thoughtful gesture that shows your gratitude and bayanihan spirit.

We are so proud of you! You didnโ€™t just perform, you also inspired. These mugs will be treasured and used during important events in school, like our Friday Free Snack for learners, as a reminder of your kindness and generosity.

Ernesto D. Violan National High School welcomed the Revitalized Pulis sa Barangay (RPSB) Cluster 14 for a school visit yesterday, July 06,2026.

The Officer-In-Charge of EDVNHS, Maโ€™am Lenyvie Carumba Verano, introduced the team and its purpose in the community. Then, the RPSB conducted a brief information drive on Republic Act 9344 or the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act, reminding learners that bringing sharp objects is prohibited inside the school.

They also reiterated that if a child is 15 years old and below that acts with discernment, he/she may still be held liable under the law. They further advised that we must abide by the law for our safety and the safety of others.

The visit concluded with a bag inspection by some faculty and staff together with the RPSB to ensure a safe and secure learning environment for all EDVNHS students.

EDVNHS continues to strengthen its partnership with RPSB Cluster 14 in promoting peace, order, and discipline within the school and the community.

Following the short faculty meeting this afternoon, Teacher Michael Angelo Crispino Solano presented a concise version of the PPST Resource Package Module 14, Indicator 1.6.2: โ€œDisplay Proficient Use of Mother Tongue, Filipino, and English to Facilitate Teaching and Learningโ€ as part of the RPMS SY 2026-2027 indicators alignment of teachers for continuous growth, excellence, and quality education.

Sir Michael emphasized that teachers must prioritize the welfare and learning of students when giving instructions or delivering lessons, in accordance with the purposeful use of language. If the Medium of Instruction is English, then the teacher must use English as MoI but the teacher can also demonstrate the use of either their Mother Tongue or Filipino as the national language to achieve the desired learning outcome, as long as it is used purposefully. He added that a teacher may use another language spoken and understood by learners to facilitate learning.

He also emphasized that a teacher must be a model of clarity, accuracy, and fluency. He also shared some communicative strategies that teachers can use when students have difficulty understanding the lessons.

After the discussion, the School Principal Maโ€™am Chona Joy Alejandrino shared her insights, emphasizing that teachers should not use this as a reason or ticket to speak in the vernacular or Mother Tongue exclusively. For teachers are expected to demonstrate proper knowledge and skills in delivering their lessons using the mandated medium of instruction in different subject areas.

With this shared understanding, EDVNHS teachers are guided to be models of clarity, accuracy, and fluency โ€” ensuring that every lesson is delivered with purpose, excellence, and care for the learners.
