LUNA, APAYAO – The San Francisco Sepak Takraw Aces’ doubles pair captured the sepak takraw doubles championship at the 2025 Apayao Provincial Meet on Thursday, December 11, with a dominant 2-0 win over Flora Team at Luna Central School – in a match that saw them flip the script after a tight first set.

The opening set was a back-and-forth battle, with both pairs trading sharp spikes and strategic serves. The Aces held on by a narrow margin to take the first set 15-7, setting the stage for a commanding second act.

In the final set, the Aces found their rhythm, overwhelming Flora Team with flawless coordination and aggressive net play. They shut down their opponents’ offense completely, cruising to a lopsided 15-1 victory to seal the doubles title.

The crowd of onlookers – including fellow athletes, teachers, and local residents – erupted in applause as the final point was scored, celebrating the pair’s impressive turnaround and clinical performance.

LUNA, APAYAO – The San Francisco Sepak Takraw Aces claimed the sepak takraw championship at the 2025 Apayao Provincial Meet on Thursday, December 11, with a commanding 2-0 win over Flora Team at Luna Central School.

The Aces came out of the gates strong in the first set, showcasing sharp reflexes and seamless teamwork to shut down Flora Team’s offense. They took the opening set in lopsided fashion, 15-1, leaving little room for their opponents to gain momentum.

Flora Team fought to bounce back in the second set, tightening their defense and landing more consistent strikes. However, the Aces held firm, maintaining control of the court and closing out the match with a 15-7 win to secure the provincial title.

Hundreds of supporters in attendance erupted in cheers as the final point was scored, celebrating the Aces’ impressive performance on home turf.

LUNA, PHILIPPINES – Dec 10, 2025 – The San Francisco Sepak Takraw Aces followed up their victory with a second straight win the same day at Luna Central School, beating Flora in a clean two-set match at the 2025 Provincial Meet – and now they’re waiting to learn their spot in the championship.

The Aces came out strong from the start, dominating the first set with sharp passes and powerful kicks that kept Flora on the defensive. They carried that momentum into the second frame, staying in control through back-and-forth rallies to close out the game without needing a deciding set.

San Francisco Aces Get First Provincial Meet Win in 3-Set Clash vs Santa Marcela

LUNA, PHILIPPINES – December 10, 2025 – The San Francisco Sepak Takraw Aces won their first game of the 2025 Provincial Meet today at Luna Central School, beating Santa Marcela in a tight three-set match.

Santa Marcela took the first set, but the Aces fought back to win the second and force a final frame. In the end, the Aces pulled off the win with a strong spike kick and defensive block from team captain Mark Rowel Dancel.

The Aces play the Flora District next.

SFES Learners Continue Studies Through Modular Learning Amidst Class Suspension

APAYAO – Despite the continuous rainfall and class suspensions due to the shear line affecting the province of Apayao, the students of San Francisco Elementary School remain steadfast in their education. Through modular learning, they are able to continue their studies in their respective homes.

According to Marc Aurel E. Cabulagan, the School Head of San Francisco Elementary School, although the situation is difficult, it is important that the education of the children is not interrupted. "Modular learning is a way to ensure that our students continue to learn, even with challenges such as bad weather," said Mr. Cabulagan

He added that the teachers are working hard to prepare learning modules that are easy to understand and engaging for the children. They also regularly communicate with parents to provide support and guidance in their children's studies.

Meanwhile, the local government continues to appeal to residents to be careful and follow the advisories of the authorities to avoid any disasters.

Despite the challenges, the hope and determination of the San Francisco Elementary School community remain to continue to promote education in the midst of calamity.
