The 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗦𝗦𝗟𝗚) 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹, in partnership with the 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 (𝗥𝗖𝗬𝗖) and the 𝗕𝗦𝗣/𝗟𝗦𝗣 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹, conducted a 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻-𝗨𝗽 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 in 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗮, 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗮, 𝗟𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻, in celebration of 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻-𝗨𝗽 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

The clean-up was conducted in a 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲𝘁𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮, where waterways and mangrove ecosystems are closely connected. The activity highlighted the importance of keeping these areas clean and cared for, recognizing the role of mangroves in supporting biodiversity, protecting waterways, and maintaining healthy coastal environments.

Anchored on the theme “𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝗔𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘀,” the activity sought to promote 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺, 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲, and 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 among learners and community members.

Through 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗝𝗢𝗩𝗬, the SSLG provides learners with meaningful opportunities to actively participate in environmental initiatives and community service. It encourages young people to take part in maintaining clean waterways, caring for mangrove areas, and promoting responsible practices that contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment.

The activity was made possible through the 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 who generously shared their time and effort in support of this environmental initiative.

Luna National High School welcomed the Adolescent Health Development Program Caravan, a meaningful activity that brought together the school, health sector, and local government in promoting health awareness and well-being among adolescents.

The program formally opened with the 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀 of 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗟𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘇, 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗩, who warmly welcomed the guests, partners, and students of Luna National High School.

The 𝗣𝗟𝗚𝗨–𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝗣𝗟𝗚𝗨–𝗣𝗛𝗢) and 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗮 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝗠𝗛𝗢) conducted informative discussions for the students of Luna National High School, providing relevant knowledge and guidance on adolescent health, wellness, and responsible decision-making.

The 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗮 also extended its support through solidarity messages delivered by:

The activity was held with the support of 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗡. 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝘇𝗼𝗻, Municipal Mayor of Luna, reflecting the local government’s support for programs that promote the health and development of the youth.

The program was also supported by 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼 𝗖. 𝗢𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗮, 𝗠𝗗𝗔, Provincial Governor of the Province of La Union, whose support contributed to the conduct of this health-focused initiative for the students.

Through the collaboration of the 𝗣𝗟𝗚𝗨–𝗣𝗛𝗢, 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗮 𝗠𝗛𝗢, 𝗟𝗚𝗨 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗮, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹, the caravan provided the LuNaHrianS with an opportunity to gain knowledge, strengthen health awareness, and better understand matters concerning their well-being.

𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐈𝐌𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐄𝐎𝐔𝐒 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐋 𝐒𝐀𝐅𝐄𝐓𝐘 𝐃𝐑𝐈𝐋𝐋

Luna National High School participated in the National Simultaneous School Safety Drill conducted on September 3, 2026, as part of the continuing efforts to strengthen school safety, preparedness, awareness, and coordinated emergency response.

The activity was spearheaded by the Luna Municipal Police Station (Luna MPS) and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), in coordination with Luna National High School and other concerned emergency response personnel.

The drill was led by PCAPT Sonny P. Baluca, DCOP of Luna Municipal Police Station, and SF03 Raymond A. Gabay, Deputy Municipal Fire Marshal, whose leadership and active participation contributed to the successful conduct of the activity.

The National Simultaneous School Safety Drill underscored the importance of preparedness, coordination, communication, discipline, and proper emergency procedures in ensuring the safety and protection of learners, teaching and non-teaching personnel, and the entire school community.

Through this initiative, Luna National High School, together with its partner emergency response agencies, reaffirms its commitment to fostering a safe, prepared, resilient, and disaster-ready learning environment.

The 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗦𝗦𝗟𝗚) proudly joins the Filipino nation in commemorating 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆—a solemn occasion dedicated to remembering and honoring the 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲, 𝘀𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗺, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 demonstrated by our heroes.

Our 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗲𝘀 fought not for recognition, but for 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺. They sacrificed not for themselves, but for 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. Through their courage and unwavering devotion to the nation, they helped shape the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 we proudly call home.

Today, we do more than remember them. We 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗰𝘆 by choosing to serve, to lead, to stand for what is right, and to contribute to the betterment of our community and country.

As 𝗟𝘂𝗡𝗮𝗛𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗦 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀, may we become worthy of the freedom our heroes fought for and courageous enough to help build the future they dreamed of.
