Now on its First Reading in the Bangsamoro Parliament, the Proposed Volunteer Teacher Absorption and Regularization Act of 2026 proposes a structured pathway for regional educators:

* Permanent Status: Priority for licensed teachers with 3+ years of service.
* Para-Teachers: Opportunities for non-licensed teachers with a 70% licensure exam rating.
* COS Engagement: Crucially, those who do not qualify as para-teachers may still be engaged via Contract of Service (COS), ensuring continued employment with a mandated salary floor (80% of Teacher I).

A vital step toward securing the tenure of those serving our communities.
