gal drugs. President Duterte wants a safe and secure Philippine society for the Filipinos(PNP Directorate for Investigation). Even before PRRD was elected as the Philippine President,Dangerous Drug Board and the Department of Education have strengthened the drug awareness program. National Drug Education Program is the primary approach among non-users ,especially among children. In support of RA 9165, the Department have issued an order emphasizing the role of educational system in the implementation of Article III relating to the random drug testing of secondary or high school students. Article IV calling for the participation of the family,students,teachers and the school authorities in the enforcement of the Act. This role has been incorporated into the NDEP which was set up in 1992 by virtue of Republic Act 7624 entitled” Integrating Drug abuse Prevention and Control” in the Intermediate and Secondary Curricula as well as the Non-Formal,Informal and Indigenous Learning System. Another peer group was organized in order to lessen drug related problems not just in school but also in the community



Barkada Kontra Droga is a peer group organized to provide and support school activities that promote awareness and intervention to drug abuse and its related issues. This group also supports the projects of the community and its local government with the same objective. This organization is supported by the students, teachers, school administrators, barangay council, local government unit, private institutions and other identified stakeholders.
