A Legacy of Care: AMA School of Medicine Advances “Lab for All” Nationwide
The pursuit of accessible, high-quality healthcare for every Filipino gained further traction on May 5, 2026, as the AMA School of Medicine (AMASOM) actively contributed to the latest leg of First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos’ flagship initiative, Lab for All (LFA).
Now on its ninth deployment under the program, AMASOM demonstrated sustained institutional commitment during the event held at Camp Crame. The mission delivered essential medical services to approximately 1,500 members and dependents of the Philippine National Police, reinforcing a critical mandate to safeguard the health and well-being of those who serve the nation and their families.
The engagement was further strengthened by the presence of Amable R. Aguiluz V, Chairman of the AMA Education System. His participation underscored institutional alignment with national health priorities and reaffirmed strong support for the First Lady’s vision of inclusive healthcare delivery.
In a meaningful exchange with key stakeholders, Ambassador Aguiluz engaged with senior government leaders, including First Lady Araneta-Marcos, signaling a unified commitment to expanding access to laboratory and medical services across underserved communities. The initiative convened a broad coalition of agencies, among them the Department of Health, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, PhilHealth, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Pag-IBIG Fund, Department of Agriculture, and the Public Attorney's Office.
Beyond the delivery of clinical services, the event reflected a strong sense of community and partnership. A notable moment was the AMASOM team’s gesture of presenting a birthday tribute to DOH Sec. Teodoro Herbosa, symbolizing the collaborative spirit that underpins the relationship between academic institutions and the public health sector.
AMASOM’s continued involvement in Lab for All represents a sustained institutional commitment to public service, health equity, and nation-building. As the initiative expands across the country, the AMA School of Medicine remains a reliable partner in advancing inclusive healthcare and ensuring that essential medical services reach communities that need them most.
and that AMA's Love for all...
