As we start 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, the General Services Department (GSD) takes a step forward with the 𝑮𝑺𝑫 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑺𝒚𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒎 (𝑮𝑺𝑫-𝑾𝑴𝑺). Launched in December 2025, the system is now officially live this January 2026 and can be accessed by all University Departments.

𝐆𝐒𝐃-𝐖𝐌𝐒 helps improve our work process by:

✔ Streamlining work request submissions and tracking
✔ Enhancing coordination and transparency
✔ Improving efficiency, accountability, and response time
✔ Providing organized records for better decision-making

Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation just 𝐬𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 its 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒎𝒂𝒔 𝑻𝒓𝒆𝒆 and holiday lights tonight, 𝑵𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓 14, 2025!

The dazzling displays at the University Gymnasium, Casa Segunda, EU Boulevard, and across various University facilities shone brightly in conjunction with the Finals of 𝑬𝑼𝒓 𝑰𝒅𝒐𝒍, as well as the 𝑩𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒏𝒆𝒘 𝑪𝑰𝑯𝑻𝑴 𝑯𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒍, the 𝒏𝒆𝒘 𝑩𝒊𝒄𝒚𝒄𝒍𝒆 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒋𝒆𝒄𝒕 of the MSEUF Health, Safety and Auxiliary Services Department (HSASD), the 𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒖𝒏𝒗𝒆𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒇 𝒏𝒆𝒘 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝒔𝒊𝒈𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒔, and the lighting of 𝒂𝒅𝒅𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒕𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝑲𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒂𝒏 𝑫𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆, designed by 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐍𝐞𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐨𝐣𝐨𝐬𝐚 in collaboration with HSASD.

This annual Christmas lighting tradition celebrates the spirit of joy, hope, and community—bringing excitement not only to Enverga University but also to the wider Lucena community. 🌟

But at the heart of this celebration are the 𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬.

With the initiative and full support of the University Management—an annual tradition led this year by 𝐕𝐏 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧, 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨 𝐎𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧, 𝐂𝐏𝐀—the dedicated personnel of the 𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝑫𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕, both permanent and outsourced, 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭, even extending beyond regular hours, to make this moment possible.

In line with the directives from the Provincial and Lucena City Government, all classes in the Basic Education Department across all campuses will be suspended tomorrow, November 5, 2025.

For the college level and law school, classes will shift to online learning. Faculty members are instructed to conduct classes through synchronous sessions. In the event of unstable internet connectivity, classes may proceed asynchronously, provided that learning activities are properly documented.

All rehearsals, including dancesports scheduled tomorrow are also suspended.

Office transactions will continue as usual.

Everyone is advised to stay safe and informed.

MSEUF will be formally 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐌𝐎𝐏, marking another milestone in the University’s pursuit of sustainability, smart campus development, and best practices in facilities management. The University is represented by Engr. Ariel V. Nicolas, Director of the General Services Department (GSD).

The General Services Department (GSD), in partnership with HRD and ICTD, successfully conducted its 𝑩𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒄 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒆𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 on October 3, 2025 at the MSEUF iLounge — attended by all GSD staff and personnel.

The seminar was designed not only to equip GSD staff, particularly skilled workers and maintenance personnel, with foundational computer knowledge but also to serve as a 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲-𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞. It aims to prepare the department as it 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 in the coming months through the launch of the 𝑮𝑺𝑫 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑺𝒚𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒎.

This training aims to refresh essential computer skills to enhance digital competency and support work efficiency.

The session is intended for GSD personnel, particularly 𝒔𝒌𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒇𝒇, to strengthen foundational computer knowledge and 𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝒂 𝒅𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝒆𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕.

In anticipation of the imminent landfall of 𝑺𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝑻𝒓𝒐𝒑𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑺𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒎 𝑶𝒑𝒐𝒏𝒈, the 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗦. 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗠𝗦𝗘𝗨𝗙) has carried out comprehensive preparations to safeguard University facilities and ensure the protection of lives and property.

The initiative was undertaken on September 25, 2025, under the direction and guidance of 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝘆. 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼 𝗥. 𝗢𝗽𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻, with the leadership of Engr. Ariel V. Nicolas, Director of the General Services Department (GSD), and the supervision of Mr. Arnold M. De Chavez, Physical Plant and Facilities Supervisor.

Permanent GSD personnel, in coordination with outsourced partners from Wellcare Marketing and General Services and with the support of EMME Security, mobilized across the University grounds to implement preventive measures. Activities included:

• Clearing of canals and drainage systems
• Inspection of classrooms, offices, laboratories, sports, and assembly facilities
• Securing of doors, windows, and other structural openings
• Checking and turning off electrical equipment and appliances
• Trimming of trees and conducting additional safety measures
• Lowering of tarpaulins and traffic signages to prevent hazards during strong winds

These proactive efforts form part of the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆’𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺, designed to reduce the potential impact of natural calamities and ensure the continuity of University operations.

While every precaution has been taken, the University community continues to 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 and minimal disruption. The 𝗠𝗦𝗘𝗨𝗙 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗱 to restoring normalcy at the soonest possible time after the passing of the storm.

In view of the latest weather bulletins and advisories issued by DOST-PAGASA regarding the possible impacts of the Tropical Storm Opong in Quezon Province, the University is prioritizing the safety, security, and well-being of all students, faculty, employees, and stakeholders. The following adjustments shall be observed across all campuses:

🗓️ September 25, 2025 (Thursday): All in-person and online classes as well as office operations and other scheduled activities will also be suspended. This adjustment is intended to provide sufficient time for the members of the University community to travel safely, secure their homes and prepare for possible storm-related impacts.

🗓️ September 26 and 27, 2025 (Friday and Saturday): There will be a full-day suspension of classes, office transactions and other scheduled activities. This decision is made to minimize exposure to potential risks during the peak of the storm.

Critical and emergency services within the University shall be placed on monitoring and standby mode as needed.

This advisory may be superseded by announcements from concerned government agencies should there be changes in weather conditions or safety advisories.

This decision was made in consultation with the Office of the Vice President for Academics and Research, Office of the Vice President for Administration thru the Health, Safety and Auxiliary Services Department, and the Human Resource Department.
