Our Lady of Peñafrancia de Lucena.

Viva La Virgen!

Two young learners of Domoit Elementary School stepped into a bigger arena as Zeckria Louisse A. Bernal and Timothy Immanuel B. Seguit took on the challenge of the DOST KaySipag Math and Science Quiz Bee Elimination Round in Los Baños, Laguna.

For Zeckria and Timothy, the journey was more than answering questions and aiming for a spot in the next round. It was an opportunity to put their knowledge to the test, think under pressure, meet fellow young learners, and experience what it means to compete beyond their own school.

The competition may not have ended with a place for the two DOMES representatives, but their effort is certainly worth celebrating. They showed courage simply by stepping forward, preparing for the challenge, and giving their best while carrying the name of Domoit Elementary School. Sometimes, the greatest victories are found not on the winners’ list, but in having the courage to try.

Behind their participation was a community that believed in them. DOMES extends its appreciation to School Principal Mr. Ronnie J. Cada for continuously supporting opportunities that encourage learners to explore their potential and grow through meaningful experiences. The school likewise thanks the parents and families of Zeckria and Timothy for standing behind them throughout their journey.

The school also recognizes Mr. Mark Anthony Labios, who accompanied Zeckria and Timothy to the competition and provided them with guidance and support along the way. His presence helped make the experience more meaningful and memorable for the young participants. To Zeckria and Timothy, this competition is one chapter in a much bigger story. Take with you the lessons you learned, the confidence you gained, and the courage that brought you all the way to Los Baños. Keep asking questions, keep discovering, and keep challenging yourselves.

No medal is needed for DOMES to celebrate you. You accepted the challenge, represented your school, and gave your best—and for that, the entire DOMES family is proud of you. Congratulations, Zeckria and Timothy! Keep reaching, learning, and growing!

When disaster strikes, readiness is our best defense. On September 10, 2026, at exactly 2:00 PM, the sound of the siren signaled the commencement of the 3rd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED). Demonstrating solidarity and proactive disaster preparedness, the school community executed the essential "Duck, Cover, and Hold" protocols simultaneously across multiple locations, proving that safety awareness extends far beyond the traditional classroom setting.

At Domoit Elementary School, non-teaching personnel actively spearheaded the exercise on-site. Demonstrating exemplary initiative, office staff and administrative workers immediately sought shelter beneath desks and sturdy tables as the drill began. Their rapid response and adherence to evacuation safety protocols underscored the critical role that support personnel play in maintaining an emergency-ready school environment.

Simultaneously, "Domians" teachers participated in the nationwide activity from San Lorenzo Elementary School. Participating in unison during their off-site activity, the dedicated educators executed the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" procedure with precision, shielding their heads and taking cover under meeting tables before proceeding to designated safe open areas. Their participation demonstrated leadership by example, reinforcing that safety protocols are fundamental regardless of location.

Meanwhile, the heart of the school community—the learners—brought the drill into their respective homes. Young students demonstrated remarkable discipline as they performed the safety procedures under household tables, desks, and cushioned areas, protecting their heads and holding on firmly until the simulated shaking ceased. Supported by their families, the learners showed that disaster preparedness lessons learned at school are effectively translated into life-saving habits at home.

The successful ex*****on of the 3rd Quarter NSED across Domoit Elementary School, San Lorenzo Elementary School, and student homes reflects the community's strong commitment to disaster risk reduction. By uniting teachers, support staff, and learners in a synchronized effort, the activity successfully instilled a culture of vigilance, resilience, and unwavering preparedness for any future emergency.

The celebration opened with a classroom-based Science Month opening activity conducted across the school.
