On March 13, 2026, the SLSU Library conducted an EBSCOHost Online End-User Training via Zoom for students and faculty. The session highlighted advanced search, filtering, and citation techniques, as well as the database’s AI integration, accessibility, and mobile-friendly features, enabling participants to access reliable and credible scholarly resources.

| Conduct of Asynchronous Classes on February 25, 2026 in Commemoration of the EDSA People Power Revolution

In line with the University's observance of significant national historical events and in support of student-led commemorative activities, this Memorandum is issued to provide guidance on the conduct of classes on February 25, 2026, in commemoration of the 40th Anniversary of the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution.

In this regard, the following shall be observed:

1. Classes for the whole day across all levels shall be conducted asynchronously on February 25, 2026 to give way for the hybrid online film viewing in the morning and a short program in the afternoon.

2. Faculty members handling classes are advised to provide appropriate asynchronous learning activities, such as modules, guided readings, or online tasks, in lieu of face-to-face or synchronous sessions.

3. This arrangement is made in consideration of the whole-day commemorative program to be organized by the Office of the Student Regent, in recognition of the historical significance of the EDSA People Power Revolution and its enduring values of democracy, unity, and civic participation.

This Memorandum is issued for guidance and reference only, to ensure academic continuity while allowing members of the University community to meaningfully participate in the said commemoration.

The College of Medicine LRC receives a copy of the book “Project Promise: PROActive Moms Inspired to be AMR Stewards Effectively”, donated by Dr. Teresa Q. Villamayor-Batario. This publication is a compendium of the powerful concept of the mother being the foundation of building healthy attitudes and behaviors of the future generation.

By virtue of ℙ𝕣𝕠𝕔𝕝𝕒𝕞𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 ℕ𝕠. 𝟙𝟘𝟡, 𝕤. 𝟙𝟡𝟛, which originally designated November 24–30 of each year as National Book Week, SLSU is holding its celebration earlier this year to allow for wider participation and alignment with the academic schedule.
In line with this, the University Library has prepared a series of fun and meaningful activities designed to promote the love of reading, creativity, and lifelong learning.
