Dental Check-Up Promotes Healthy Smiles at Lucena East VIII Elementary School
Lucena East VIII Elementary School conducted a two-day Dental Check-Up on October 7 and 8, 2026, as part of the school’s continuing efforts to promote oral health and ensure the well-being of its learners. The activity was participated in by pupils from Kindergarten, Grade 1, and beneficiaries of the School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP).
The dental check-up was conducted with the assistance of Dra. Sheila Mae Ursolino, who provided dental assessment and guidance to the participating learners. The activity gave the pupils an opportunity to have their oral health checked and to learn the importance of proper dental care at an early age.
During the two-day activity, the learners underwent dental examinations and received appropriate advice on maintaining good oral hygiene. Dra. Ursolino also emphasized the importance of regular tooth brushing, proper dental care, healthy eating habits, and regular dental visits to help prevent tooth decay and other oral health concerns.
The participation of Kindergarten and Grade 1 pupils, together with the School-Based Feeding Program beneficiaries, highlighted the school’s commitment to addressing the health needs of its young learners. Maintaining good oral health is essential to a child’s overall well-being, as dental problems may affect a learner’s comfort, nutrition, confidence, and participation in school activities.
The successful conduct of the dental check-up was made possible through the cooperation of the school, the learners, and the dental health personnel. The activity served not only as an opportunity for dental assessment but also as a valuable learning experience that encouraged pupils to develop healthy habits and take responsibility for their oral health.
Through initiatives such as this, Lucena East VIII Elementary School continues to promote a healthy and supportive learning environment where the health and well-being of every learner are given importance.
The two-day activity was a meaningful step toward creating healthier smiles and healthier learners, reinforcing the message that good oral health is an important part of a healthy and happy childhood.

Feeling loved is an understatement. ❤️

Lucena East VIII Elementary School joyfully celebrated Teachers’ Day 2026, a meaningful occasion dedicated to honoring the teachers whose commitment, patience, and love continue to inspire every learner.

The celebration was made even more special through the collective efforts of the SPTA, School Governing Council (SGC), and Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG). Their cooperation, time, resources, and wholehearted support helped bring the celebration to life and made the teachers feel truly valued and appreciated.

The program featured a Teachers’ Grand Entrance, meaningful messages, the honoring of teachers through gifts and heartfelt greetings, as well as fun intermission numbers, games, raffle draws, and a recycled-dress competition. These activities created an atmosphere filled with laughter, gratitude, and togetherness among teachers, learners, parents, and the school community.

This celebration was more than an event—it was a beautiful reflection of what can be achieved when the school, parents, learners, and community work together.
