On May 16, 2026, the 4th-Year Nursing Students of St. Anne College Lucena, Inc. gathered for a well-deserved spiritual pause during their Batch Recollection at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Seminary in Brgy. Manasa, Lucban, Quezon.

The day was filled with deep reflection, heart-to-heart conferences, and emotional sharing of life and personal experiences. The students found solace in the Sacrament of Confession, culminating their spiritual journey with a beautiful Holy Mass.

Heartfelt gratitude to the Recollection Facilitator, Rev. Fr. Kirth V. Molos, for guiding their hearts, and to the Mass Presider, Rev. Fr. Jeffrey B. Abel, for a soul-stirring celebration. The student nurses were also blessed to be accompanied by their College Dean, Level Coordinator, and Clinical Instructor, making the event a deeply meaningful and united milestone.

Entering with the heavy stresses of a graduating year, the students left with lighter hearts, stronger faith, and a shared memory that they will cherish forever as they prepare to enter the healthcare profession. 🩺🤍

Happy International Nurses Day! 🌏✨

Although the global celebration is today, May 12, the St. Anne College Lucena, Inc. (SACLI) College of Nursing got a head start on the festivities last April 30, 2026. Guided by our theme, "Nursing Real-Life Excellence: Built on Strong Foundations, Reaching Greater Heights”.

At SACLI, we don’t just learn the art of care; we build the foundation for a lifetime of excellence. It was a day filled with camaraderie, talent, and academic excellence as students from Levels 1 to 4 gathered at the SACLI Gymnasium.

We would like to thank our Dean Amelia C. Vargas, our Program Chair Ma’am Clarisse Danie Malijan, our FNS Adviser Ma’am Maria Jessica De Guzman-Areja, our Clinical Instructors, and also to Ma’am Althea for your unwavering support. Special thanks to Doc Marlon Malilay for being so supportive, for delivering the closing remarks, and for dedicatedly giving his time and effort for this event.

Thank you so much to all the Florence Nightingale Society officers who dedicated their time and effort to make this event possible. We also recognize our Masters of Ceremony, Mr. Koichi D. Tobari and Ms. Charlaine Mae B. Cervantes, and to all the future registered nurses who participated and to all the future registered nurses who participated—thank you for making our celebration a resounding success! We are ready to reach even greater heights.

Our poster, titled "The Power of One: Rising for a Greener Tomorrow," is a visual representation of how individual accountability drives global environmental change. We chose the central theme "It all starts with ME" to emphasize that the transition from a polluted, industrial past to a sustainable future begins with a personal commitment to action. By placing our central character—dressed in traditional Filipino attire—between the dark clouds of carbon dioxide emissions and a vibrant, thriving community, we illustrate the human role as a bridge toward a cleaner world. This design serves as a call to action, showing that while the challenges of pollution are heavy, we have the tools to rise above them through collective effort and environmental responsibility.
In creating this piece, we integrated the SACLIAN Core Values as our primary guide. We highlight Citizenship and Excellence by depicting students actively engaging in proper waste management and recycling, showing that true pride in our nation involves protecting our natural resources. Through Competence and Creativity, we visualized a transition from the "grey" of industrial neglect to the "green" of environmental harmony. By holding the torch of leadership and the Philippine flag, our central figure symbolizes a student body that is ready to lead the charge for the planet, proving that when we are guided by our core values, we possess the power to secure a brighter, more sustainable future for everyone.
