WORK & CLASSES UPDATE | August 17, 2026
Following Memorandum Circular No. 127, alternative work arrangements for government offices in Lucena City will take effect starting 12:00 noon today, August 17.
Alternative learning modes will also be implemented for all levels in both public and private schools, unless otherwise directed.
Essential services, including health, disaster response, and other vital operations, will continue.

ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON AUGUST 17
Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 127, government offices are directed to shift to appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces starting 12:00 noon on August 17, 2026:
๐ National Capital Region (NCR)
๐ Zambales
๐ Bataan
๐ Bulacan
๐ Pampanga
๐ Tarlac
๐ Nueva Ecija
๐ Cavite
๐ Batangas
๐ Rizal
๐ Laguna
๐ Quezon
๐ Occidental Mindoro
Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.
Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.
The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.
