𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 || Stellar Soroban Workshop: Empowering SLSU Lucena Campus Students Through Blockchain Technology

On the 25th of July 2026, the Newly Enhanced Team With Oriented Knowledge (NETWORK) Organization of SLSU Lucena Campus successfully conducted the “Stellar Soroban Workshop” for BIT/BIndTech and BTVTEd Computer Programming students who are interested in understanding decentralized systems and smart contract development.

The workshop welcomed Imhel Asis, StellarX PH Lead, and Danielle Bagaforo Meer, Founder of Orizons and Orbit Score, as the resource speakers. They discussed topics including the Stellar Network, Soroban Smart Contracts, blockchain fundamentals, and the Stellar Ecosystem. Danielle Bagaforo Meer inspired the participants by sharing personal experiences and insights about the opportunities students could explore by becoming part of the Stellar Community.

Lastly, during the workshop, the process of creating and submitting projects to the Stellar Network was demonstrated to the participants. The students were also given the opportunity to create their own outputs that could be submitted to the community. The Stellar Network announced that they would accept student entries until the following day. May all aspiring professionals in the field successfully create their outputs and continue exploring the opportunities brought by blockchain technology.
